Dang it Merlin, I am trying to go for a leisurely stroll here!
The Secrets of the Archmages/No Stone left unturned quest/achievement is annoying me. First time through was a normal enough win on Hard. I may have been able to delay it a bit longer, but given how many of the things are in enemy territory I figured I would just do a nice easy stroll around the map on Easy in a 2nd game.
Yeah Merlin was having none of that. I only had one more left to reach and explore and he ups and wins the game. I even went with the Tome of Winds so that I could Favorable Winds my way around the map. That wasn't quick enough, though it may have been if Symon didn't make me stop and bat him around. I was not expecting an easy AI to do that much damage to my stacks, nor for him to focus so much on my guys. And his hounding me meant he was doing nothing to Merlin.
Well I managed to clear some other achievements that I hadn't done yet for some reason such as the Tier 4 Nomad city one. So at least that game wasn't a complete waste of time. Maybe I need to do it on the middle difficulty so that Merlin can't just steamroll the map by himself.
