What's Your Circus Avatar?

I don't mean what's your OC, or what do you think it would be cool to be if you ended up in the Circus. I mean, based on the rules as we know it, what do you think your Circus Avatar would be and why (why is optional if it's too personal). I was thinking about this for myself and thought it would be a fun game.

Rules:

> Your avatar must represent BOTH a core value/personality trait AND a core insecurity/personal problem.

> Must be based on a toy, game concept/piece, or art/drama concept.

> Explain the reasoning behind your choice, though you don't have to be specific if it's too personal.

> Feel free to add details about your room or what you think your breath-holding power would be.

My Circus Avatar:

It's funny because when I was younger (teen to early college/Zooble and Jax age range) I would probably have been a teddy bear of some kind. I collect stuffed bears and fancy dolls, my childhood nickname had "bear" in it, and my main insecurity in young adulthood centered around my decision to forego shaving (I have sensory issues and H A T E shaving) even though my mom basically shamed me for being "nasty" and not shaving.

But I'm currently somewhere between Pomni and Ragatha's age, and since about 23 my entire life has revolved around my health. I have a chronic illness that got really bad during covid (which is ironic because I never got covid itself) and has fluctuated wildly since. In fact, I'm currently officially disabled and had to have both hips replaced last year. I feel fragile and incapable of a lot of things I used to enjoy doing. My main joy has been writing and rediscovering a love of sewing through cosplay and historical dress.

Which is why I think in my current state I'd be a pillow doll. For those unfamiliar, pillow dolls were an 80s fad where women would crochet or sew big, beautiful dresses to put on special dolls that were basically a head and torso attached to a pillow base at the waist. These would then be display pièces in bedrooms or on couches/tables, etc.

As a pillow doll my mobility would be limited but I'd still be able to use my hands. Even though actual pillow dolls were made of vinyl or plastic, I'd probably be porcelain and very breakable from the waist up to represent my health problems. I'd probably have my natural hair color, because I've always thought my brown hair was plain and I dye it IRL. My room would probably have sewing supplies and writing notebooks. I could possibly make new dresses or at least skirts for myself, because with pillow dolls they usually have an irremovable base outfit and the big dresses are usually swappable. (At least that's how my grandma made them.)

Not sure what my breath holding ability would be. I have breathing problems IRL so the idea of holding my breath is kind of scary. Maybe I would float? Like a genie on a pillow. That would be kind of funny.

Can't wait to see other people's avatars!
