Canal water flood 2-3 inches first floor

New homeowner here. Our 1st floor recently had 3 inches of canal water come in after a nor’easter. It was about for 2-3 hours and I’ve had had fans and dehumidifiers running but being told laminate flooring and drywall should be removed. This would be a huge job. Should I really remove everything or any recommendations for people in similar situations. Also tips for better protection next time from experience to prevent water coming from under the doors

HELP. My new red dragon maple tree

I recently bought my first home and have zero gardening experience whatsoever. My husband and I planted this beautiful tree and the underneath leaves are browning and curling.

When planting I made sure to expose the root, went easy on any mulch around trunk. Water deeply about 2 times a week. I live on Long Island NY. Is it dying on me or could this be normal, I really would appreciate some advice on what might be the issue! Thank you

**the last photo is when I first planted it
