I built an NFC app for iPhone with spoken tags for visually impaired users, HomeKit support, raw tag info, and I'm giving away 5 Pro upgrades
Hi everyone! I'm an indie developer and wanted to share my app, Simply NFC.
What started as a simple NFC reader gradually turned into a pretty powerful NFC toolkit for iPhone, with a big focus on accessibility and automation.
Some things I'm particularly proud of:
• Full VoiceOver support throughout the app.
• Spoken text tags. You can write text to an NFC tag and have the app automatically use text-to-speech to read it aloud when scanned. This can be useful for labeling storage bins, medication, household items, and other objects for visually impaired users.
• HomeKit scene support for smart home automations.
• Read raw tag information, including bytes and tag type.
• Normal NFC writing for text, URLs, Wi-Fi, contacts, email, phone numbers, and more.
• Password protection for compatible NFC tags.
• Import existing tag contents into the editor and modify them.
• Siri Shortcuts support.
• Developer features, including URI schemes, callbacks, and the ability to automatically send scans to your own web server for integration with apps and services.
I recently released an update with password support, tag import, and a bunch of UI improvements.
As a thank you, I'm giving away 5 free Pro upgrades! If you redeem one, please mention in the comments which link you used so others know which ones are already taken.
Happy to answer any NFC questions or hear feature requests. Thanks for taking a look!
