has anyone noticed any that their brain feels different on and off estrogen?
this is sorta a specific question, ive been on and off estrogen for the past year, or so and 1 thing ive noticed that i dont rlly see talked about is that, for me, estrogen doesnt just make emotions hit harder, but my normal baseline headspace feels different. its like my brain idles differently when i’m on and of e. like it feels genuinely different.
also, ive been off estrogen for about 2 months, and during that time my antidepressant has become pretty much useless. but when i was on estrogen, it was very effective. (and to clarify i was still depressed on estrogen, the only thing that really worked was estrogen + this antidepressant together.)
has anyone else experienced something similar? not just stronger emotions on e, but a fundamentally different baseline mental state, or estrogen changing how effective your medications are?
