Conflicting info from EastWest about ₱1500 cash credit — need help

Hi! Has anyone experienced something similar?

I used to have a Eastwest Classic Mastercard with a ₱98,000 credit limit. After a few months of using it, I received a text offering me an upgrade to a Gold card — which also came with a ₱1,500 cash credit promo.

I called CS to confirm the upgrade, and I specifically asked about the promo. The rep told me I would receive the ₱1,500 cash credit once I activate my new Gold card. Okay, sounds good.

Fast forward — Gold card arrives, I activate it, then call CS again to follow up on the cash credit. This time, a different rep tells me I’m not eligible because the promo is supposedly for second cards only, and since mine was an upgrade (not a new card), I only have one card on record.

So now I’m confused — the first CS rep confirmed I’d get it, the second one is saying the complete opposite. Who’s correct here?

Has anyone dealt with this? Is there a way to escalate or have them honor what the first rep said?
