HRT

I’ve known I had Turner syndrome since I was a child. I was on estrogen until I was about 18, but after that I wasn’t consistent. My life was very unstable, I was dealing with depression, CPTSD, moving around a lot, and honestly didn’t take care of myself.
Now I’m 36 and finally trying to prioritize my health. My endocrinologist has made several comments about me “wanting to start treatment now,” and it’s left me feeling guilty.
Has anyone else had a long gap in HRT before restarting?
Do you feel HRT was still worth it after such a long gap? Has it made a noticeable difference for you?
I’m trying to figure out whether restarting now is really beneficial or if I’ve missed the window.
(I had another post discussing side effects. I guess that’s partly why I’m seeking advice too)

Estradiol Side Effects

Just curious what others’ experiences are starting Estradiol?
I’m 36 and start in March. First month was fine, has side effects that were normal. But then 2nd week of 2nd month I started spotting/bleeding and have been ever since. My endocrinologist has told me it’s my body getting used to it but at this point this is miserable. She also recommended a Pap smear which i scheduled. It’s been 2.5 months basically. Has this happened to you? What HRT does your Endo have you on?

Vent/Advice

I’m well into my 30s and was just diagnosed with Hashimotos earlier this year. My health coverage has been on/off most of my adulthood and so I’m finally now at a point to take care of myself. Pretty sure I’ve had it for a while.
I’m not sure if it’s flare ups but this week has been extremely rough. Fatigue to the point of headaches, lightheaded once or twice, unable to think. I don’t think my partner quite understands. I say I’m burnt out and they just respond with “I get it, me too”. I don’t think they actually get it though.
How do you explain the feeling to someone? Especially your partner? I
I also have Turner Syndrome and struggle with depression and anxiety. Not professionally diagnosed but definitely have CPTSD. I just started hormone therapy for my Turner Syndrome too.
I’m just tired of being tired. I saw someone say that it’s like you’re too exhausted to even be the person you want to be and that hit. I want to do so many things and have a routine and certain lifestyle and just can’t bring myself to.

I also want to stress that my partner is the most supportive person in my life and my safe space. This is just something I don’t think they truly get. And I’m not the best at communicating so I don’t even know how to explain it to them.
Also, how do you deal with flare ups? Do you eat a specific diet? Do you take specific vitamins? Any advice is appreciated.
