Day planner recommendations

I’ve been struggling to find an app that works super well for my needs, and I’d love any recommendations.

I’m solo, so collaboration doesn’t matter at all, and I prefer apps that don’t assume I want to invite other people to work with me. I also feel like a lot of the company-focused apps are $30+ a month and overkill for my needs.

  1. I need decent task management support. I prefer kanban with custom columns, natural language input, and the ability for complex repetition. Both TickTick and Todoist fulfill this for me—I don’t need anything more complicated, but a lot of other apps don’t seem advanced enough

  2. A smart day planner. I want to easily drag and drop tasks. I’d love any auto-scheduling and adjusting around my meetings, but don’t need a ton. I would really like an option for a floating focus window or something in the menu bar so I can visualize the current task while working in other apps

  3. Google Calendar, either Outlook or Apple Calendar, and Slack integrations

*Bonus points for any long-term goal planning

Both TickTick and Todoist feel too clunky for time blocking/day planning. It’s very manual and it feels like I’m hacking it into something it’s not.

I LOVE Sunsama. But it doesn’t have a TickTick integration, so I’d have to commit to migrating back to Todoist. I originally went from Todoist to TickTick for better aesthetics, task template, and better calendar and task side-by-side view.

Basically, I’m hoping to find a smarter time blocking/day planning tool that integrates deeply with TickTick (not Zapier hacks), OR something that can replace TickTick altogether.

I don’t care about habits, Eisenhower matrix, dependencies, or anything like that. If you have any ideas, I’d love to hear them because I’m struggling!

Kyle Richards keeps calling people for me

Kyle is so relentless with her “hey Siri” requests that she has now initiated calls to FOUR random contacts of mine, including my old piano teacher who died years ago. It’s funny, but like—do I need to turn off this entire feature on my devices for the sake of Kyle Richards?? 😭😭😭😭

WCIF specific mm male hair

I know this picture is tiny and terrible—I used this male hair in an old household, but it's gone when I actually load the sims. Any way you recognize it?

Erika is giving me second-hand embarrassment

I’ve been rewatching, and I’m on the Aspen trip in season 12. I’m dying at Erika being so pompous about “none of them said anything about this case being dismissed after last night” when it just got moved from Illinois to California! Like how embarrassing. It’s icing on the cake after her throwing a fit about the victims not deserving her diamond earrings. What a hard watch 😭

“Dismissed…without, prejudice 😌” I CANNOT

A5 or B6 undated horizontal weekly

Hi! I feel like I've looked at every single brand and am still flailing about. I'd appreciate any recommendations.

  • I'm flexible on A5 or B6, but I do not want any TN/passport/A6—B6 is my smallest
  • I'd really rather do completely undated, or 26-27, but I don't want a straight-up 2026 at this point
  • I definitely need weekly, no dated dailies or blank pages between weeks (blank pages at the back are fine)
  • I'm not completely tied to horizontal specifically, but I do not want time blocking at all, and that seems to be the majority of anything vertical. I do like that horizontal has more general weekly space vs most tasks having to be tied to specific days on typical verticals

I'm in a Sterling Ink now, but I'm just a little bored. I prefer some of the other brands' more creative horizontal layouts, but so many have dailies. I also have a Faded Chronicle, but I hate the duo weekly—the vertical timeblocking is a waste to me. The horizontal layout is so close, but I also don't love having to commit to that rigid of a habit tracker every week. I also do not like the Cosmo paper, as all of my favorite pens smear so easily. I've really been wanting a Papertessdesigns, but I cannot justify the shipping/tariffs doubling the price. If it weren't for that, she's what I would try.

I've also looked at Rosey, Just Scribble, Creffective, Wonderland 222, Aura Estelle, and Hemlock & Oak. The undated options are so slim and I haven't found anything that checks all/most of my boxes.

I was looking at Golden Coil because of their Mother's Day sale. I'm OBSESSED with this layout, but it wasn't on their site. She offered to add it to the site over the sale, then ghosted me. The sale's over. It also bothers me that they don't really do quarterly planning pages at all, but the customer service has left a bad taste in my mouth. I've also had just about every Laurel Denise format there is, but I prefer the smaller bound books and don't necessarily need the all-in-one view moment.

Do you have any additional recommendations? At this point, I'm feeling like I need to make my own, lol.
