Weird experience?

I had a drop in with a cat today which was pretty simple. Then I realized I left my wallet (which I know stupid) At my clients house. I see them again Friday luckily but where they live at they needed to call the owner to let me in the community. I texted owner (the wife) asking if I could go back and get it real quick. No response. Then about an hour later I called them and when they did pick up it was the husband who answered. I told him who I was but then he interrupted me saying “that’s what you called for?” And hanged up before I could even finish what I say. Luckily my ID in on me and I have card tap to pay for stuff but man I just can help but wonder if the call I made was an actual emergency would he have done that.

What should I do?

This is my first day house sitting for a new client and they told me that the dogs usually sleep on the bed (which I had no problem with since the bed is big enough). However, I woke up to chewing around 10pm and when I turned on the light, the dog completely destroyed my hair brush. I placed my stuff high and somewhere safe and yet somehow the dog got into it. This is a first that a dog destroy some property but I’m wondering how to I approach this with the owner?

Edit: They came! They said there phone was dead

Today I am supposed to meet a client about an upcoming house sitting job. I told them I would be about 30 minutes late, which they haven’t responded. Now I’m here at the location but they still haven’t said anything or responded to my texts.
