Hi all, I’m desperate. Every bedtime is a sh*tshow fight at the moment. LO absolutely fights going down and always escalates to coughing crying. Her naps though, are completely fine! You plop her down and she wriggles until she falls asleep. Current wake windows are 3/3.5/4 and she’s literally 8 months today. Usually wakes onwards from 0600, sometimes earlier but we don’t start the day before 6, nap 1 at around 0900 for 1 hour, nap 2 around 1330 for 1.5 max. Bedtime around 1900.

LO is just over 7 months old, and has been sleep trained since 20 weeks (we did chair method mixed with pick up put down since our gal is a tad sensitive and did not handle other methods). She’s currently on a 2 nap schedule with the occasional bridge nap if she’s had an EMW. WW’s tend to fluctuate but naps are usually around 0900-1000 for 45 mins and 1300-1430 for 1-1.5h. She has no issues going back to sleep throughout the night and will sleep 12 hours once she’s down.

Since night 1 of sleep training, it’s been a dream. The next day naps followed and we’ve only had a few issues with putting down with illness.

Now she’s gone from being able to be put into the crib wide awake, then putting herself to sleep with zero assistance to regardless of wake window length (yes I’ve tried experimenting to make sure she’s not undertired or overtired) she is just unable to switch off into sleep mode. She will pop up into cobra and practice her crawling, but no matter how tried she is or if I try some in crib settling or wait it out, she just can’t seem to fall asleep.

Has anyone else experienced this or have any advice they can share? She has started crawling so I know that can mess with their sleep but in this way? Thanks gang!
