2021 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4 6.2 — update failed, now getting “No Remote Detected”

Truck originally got an “Update Failed Return to Dealer” message. At first the infotainment screen stopped working, but now the screen works again after dealer pushed update through and the truck runs/drives fine. I disconnected the battery and checked fuses and got the "no remote detected" before taking to dealer.

I installed a new battery, battery was from 2022, I think that's why the update failed in the first place.

Current issue:

• Truck says “No Remote Detected”
• Have to place the key fob in the transmitter pocket to start it
• Passive entry/keyless entry doesn’t work
• BUT remote start still works from the key fob

So it seems like the truck partially sees the fob but not fully. Backup camera, driving, etc all work normal.

EDIT: Replaced Key fob battery's with Duracell batteries
