Good all round combat for a causal player?

I’ve finally took the plunge into elite and I’m really enjoying it, however I’m also very capped for time having only about 2-3 hours every other evening to hop on.

I’ve really enjoyed going to RES zones and third partying wanted ships for the bounty and I think I’d like to delve deeper into the combat role.

Essentially I’m looking for a combat ship that I can “main” and do all my engineering on. I’d like to be able to pull up to res sites and start fights not join them.

I don’t think I have the time to engineer multiple ships at the moment and so I’ve been eyeing up the Kestral Mk2. Would it be a good ship to carry me through combat and do all my engineering on? I’m just worried it’ll be too small and won’t be able to punch up, might it be better to save for a python mk2?

Unity Audio sounds way to spatial?

Hello,

I've started playing AC unity on Uplay (got it years ago for free) and I've noticed that the audio sounds awful.

Its not even the quality of the sound fx but the fact that everything sounds like it has no low end and is 20 meters away from me at all times.

I've looked up solutions. Stuff like making sure I'm on stereo has shown no results. I'm on a steel series arctis pro headset using the steel series sonar software. However, I have routed the signal straight from the game, to my headset, bypassing sonar which ensures I have audio coming through 2 channels, and its still messed up.

Anyone who has dealt with this have any solutions?

Quick edit: It also feels like sounds are either hard panned left or hard panned right???
