June 1 Sunny Rent Stabilized Bedroom in Jackson Heights! (w/ Ensuite bathroom)
Hello! I have a $1,600 (not including utilities) rent-stabilized bedroom available for a June 1st one year lease in a 2 bed / 2 bath apartment located in the heart of Jackson Heights. Utilities are around $100-$150 per person, and I’m looking for someone to join the lease ASAP.
The apartment is in an elevator building and gets tons of natural light throughout the day with our floor to ceiling windows. The available bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and is spacious enough to comfortably fit a full bed, dresser, and additional storage.
The common areas include a cozy living room, another bathroom, kitchen, keyfob entry, additional outdoor balcony facing the street. The apartment also features floor to window ceilings and hardwood floors throughout. The apartment building has a laundry room, large outdoor balcony for community use, and is steps away from 74th-Roosevelt station with all of the trains (7, E, F, M, R and the free Q70 to LGA). There is also an attached garage for parking, which is extra. Plus our live-in super is awesome!
I've really loved living in this apartment and in this neighborhood for the past 4 years, so I am urgently looking to have someone fill the room as soon as possible so I can stay in my home ❤ Looking for someone who is LGBTQ friendly, clean, friendly, and communicative (preferable female, femme, gender non conforming roommate!).
Please message me a little bit about yourself (schedule, cooking and cleaning preference, etc.)
I’ve included pictures of the available bedroom when it’s unfurnished (the current occupant will be taking the tan couch, tv, and wall hangings so flexible to other furniture that you may have). The current occupant of the room is available to show the room on Saturday and Sundays, Tuesdays (6-8:00 PM) with a 24 hour notice so let me know asap if you'd like a tour!
About Me:
I’m a 28 year old woman (she/her) who runs a national nonprofit, where I work from home (M-F). I'm often traveling for work, so there will be weeks where you'll have the entire place to yourself! I live a pretty active lifestyle and I'm very involved in the local community, so I’m often out and about on the weekends too.
I love to cook and am always down to share a meal or try a new restaurant with my roommate! At home, I value a clean and comfortable space, so I would like to figure out a cleaning schedule for the kitchen and living areas that work for your schedule.
About the Neighborhood: Since we’re 1 minute from 74-Roosevelt, you’ll be joining me in the crossroads of Jackson Heights, Elmhurst, and Woodside! This means you’ll be in the heart of the most diverse neighborhoods in Queens (and the United States!). As a fellow Queens girl, I think we have the best food in the entire city and there’s always fun cultural celebrations and community events happening in our neighborhood 😍
To apply for the apartment, the management company will ask for an employment letter, photo ID, bank statement, a W2 or tax return. The application is online!
