Trekking Kyrgyzstan without a tour / group?

I’m looking to go on a multi day, potentially multi week trek through the mountains of Kyrgyzstan. I have looked into paying to be apart of a group tour, however and weary of the cost.

Has anyone tried solo trekking? Is it possible? I’m unsure what the rules around camping are - could I camp just about anywhere? If I did want to stay in yurt that I come across in my travels, would I be able to do that without booking ahead?

Thank you in advance. Any advice is appreciated.

Cycling routes through Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan?

I’m wanting to visit Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan next year and I’m hoping to travel through each country, across borders, via bike. Are there any bicycle routes that will take you through all of these three countries?

If so, what are these routes like? I would say my bike riding skill level is at an intermediate level, but I’m worried that the terrain is too rugged and mountainous for me to handle.

Is it a bad idea to plug a random USB I found into a public computer?

I found 2 USBs on the ground, in some bushland. I’m really curious as to what could be on them but don’t want to plug them into my personal devices in case they contain malware, etc. Would I be an asshole for taking them to my local library and plugging them into the public computers there? Is that a bad idea?

Why are the TL Robertson library toilets so gross

I’m not trying to be rude here. Or maybe I am. I’m a fully online student however I live in Perth and do visit the TL Robertson library at night time for study every now and then. Every time I have been there, the toilets have been disgusting. At best, it’s dehydrated piss all over the toilet seat seats or toilet paper strewn across the floor. I fear, though, that my eyes have witnessed much worse. One time there were streaks of shit all over the toilet seats and down the side (outside) of the toilet. I’ve also walked in to find used period pads just hanging out on the floor. One time I entered a cubicle and saw that the toilet roll holder had about 40cm of toilet paper hanging down, still attached to the roll, and it was all covered in smears of shit.
Is there a reason for this or am I just getting really unlucky?
