JPMC employees: How do teams usually share small automation tools internally?

Hi everyone,

I recently got access to VS Code and Python at JPMC, and I’m thinking about building small automation tools to help with repetitive team work, like cleaning Excel files, parsing reports, organizing files, or generating outputs.

For example, I was thinking of creating a Python script and packaging it as an executable so coworkers can run it without installing Python, JDK, or extra dependencies.

For those who work or have worked at JPMC, how do teams usually handle this?

Do people usually save tools in SharePoint, a team shared drive, Git/Bitbucket, Alteryx, or some approved internal platform?

Also, are standalone .exe files usually allowed, or would that require approval/security review first?

I’m not trying to bypass any policy. I just want to understand the normal and safe way teams share small automation tools internally.

Thanks!
