Do I need a Transfer Certificate (TC) from my bachelor’s university for a German student visa, or is the Class 12 TC enough? Can visa officials ask for the bachelor’s TC later during corrections/additional documents? Anyone who applied recently, please confirm.
I’m aware of the 6-month residence rule, where we generally apply through the jurisdiction where we’ve lived for the past 6 months. However, I’m looking for clarification regarding my situation.
I completed my bachelor’s in Bengaluru in 2026 and have now returned to my hometown in MP, which comes under the Mumbai jurisdiction.

My passport address falls under Mumbai, but I understand we’re supposed to apply based on where we’ve resided recently. The waiting list for VFS Bangalore is really long, while Mumbai and Delhi seem to be moving much faster.
Is there any way to apply through Mumbai instead? I’m getting quite worried about the visa timeline now, so any advice from people who’ve been in a similar situation would be really helpful.
