New logo for the Greens
These days, when the Greens are much more about plasticine than about trees, it's high time for a logo change! And what better logo than that of the Arab Liberation Army, commemorated in the Nakba? The logo comes already in Islamic green, and its symbolism gives voters an immediate visual reminder of what the Greens are all about these days. You can see the logo itself, a photo of the ALA's leader, Fawzi al-Qawuqji in his fetching uniform as colonel in the Wehrmacht, and as bonus, a photo of the most senior Palestinian leader in 1948, Amin al-Husseini, with Himmler and other SS officers, inspecting the Bosnian SS contingent, which he helped set up. Surely, just the people to inspire new Greens voters - certainly much more so than old fogeys like Bob Brown or Drew Hutton.
