2021 ford expedition transmission hit hard and slipping

Bought a 2021 ford expedition with 102k miles on it March 28th. Have made 1 payment to my loan lol. Then today the transmission hit hard when down shifting and then when going uphill it felt like it got stuck between gears and was making a grinding sound till it caught and lurched a bit. Did I just buy a lemon. Was really enjoying the vehicle up until today.

I have it parked at the dealer and will talk to them tomorrow. Curious if anyone has had any luck getting ford to back their vehicles. Was reading they sometimes offer goodwill assistance.

Just bought this cause my 2011 explorer with 215k miles finally racked up a repair bill I couldn’t justify. So I had a really positive experience with that first ford.

Just frustrating, a month ago it was no big deal. Broke out my emergency fund to cover down payment and taxes. Too soon to have recovered financially for a transmission problem to pop up. Have 4 kids with a 5th on the way so can’t go too long without.

Advice appreciated if anyone has had any similar experience working with ford. 2021 just seems too new to be in this position already after spending 30k to get the vehicle.
