Thinking about dumping EERO because of slow WiFi
I started having really slow internet (less than 40mb/s) on WiFi devices recently and I narrowed it down to my EERO gateway. I have two units with one set as the gateway. Everything has been working great for maybe a year. Speed test on ethernet is curretly great at almost a gig per sec out of the back of the EERO gateway. At first I powered off the second unit to be sure i wasn't getting interference, that didn't fix anything. Power cycle the gateway unit several times, no fix. Finally decided last night to delete the second unit and thru the app I replaced the current gateway with my second unit as a troubleshooting step. I was trying to figure out what went bad. Took about 10min to configure the swap thru the app. All of a sudden my Wi-Fi speed was super fast again. Great... until this morning. Now I'm back to slow speeds again using my 2nd unit as a single gateway, like between 20-30 mb/s. I don't know if it was a recent software update or what but my EERO units are sucking and I'm heading to BestBuy for something different. Unless... someone knows another step I can try.
