When I got my Rifle, I really had no idea what to get as far as bipods are concerned, jJust thoroughly overwhelmed by all the choices. So, I took my Magpul off my AR and put it on the bolt action and that's where we are now. I realize that this part of the setup is a weak link and I want to replace it with something more suitable for shooting off the bench or ground. When I lean in and load it up it doesn't always bite and it ends up feeling squishy and unstable so I have to start the shot process all over again.

I have an integral ARCA rail and like the idea of using that instead of the MLOK connection. The least obscenely priced option that is ARCA out of the box is the MDT GRND-POD. User reviews seem to be quite split on this particular product as well as not having a pan function. I'm kind of at the point where for my uses I am not sure pan is really all that critical and it is part of the MAGPUL that I found a little problematic between shots because I'd have to straighten things out so maybe just cant capability is all I really want and need.

So, the question is, for my general plinking uses is that MDT going to be a good upgrade or should I wait till my slush fund fattens up a bit and go spend $400-$500 on something a lot more capable? I tend to look at things as an opportunity cost, more ammo and range time or a new bipod. Balance that with knowing that a good bipod will pay dividends in one way or another. Then again, I might never get the value out of a $500 bipod.

Guidance and opinions appreciated.

It’s been a bit since I have had my Alpha and Bravo controls hooked up. When plugged in, something seems to blip in the control panel but the devices never show in the joystick configuration panel. I have tried 3 different sets of USB ports, rebooting, wailing, tears. Nothing.

There are no specific drivers for HC that I am aware of and the AS package has been installed.

Ideas?
