I swear Milo could drink a cup of water and leave three cups all over the kitchen floor. If he goes trotting away from the bowl, he will leave a path behind him that reaches across the house. He’s just that kind of drinker. No dental issues or other malformations, just messy.
Drives my wife bonkers. We have tried a slobber proof bowl but he’s defeated that thing as well.

My dude has a very peculiar behavior. He has zero interest in sleeping on the bed. Every other lab I’ve had has been a complete bed pig, not Milo. He sleeps in the hallway outside our room or at the back door.
Honestly, there really isn’t a downside to this because 80 pounds of dog takes up a lot of bed space so I’m not complaining. But every morning when it’s time to get up, he’ll hop up on the bed and commence to cleaning my ears to wake me up. Then he’ll curl up for a bit of pets and pats and skritches.
I like to think he just decides that guard duty is over and it’s time to get on with the day
