What are my chances?
I recently received a text from my former PIC who trained and helped get me licensed a few years ago in a rough retail setting. He asked me if I would be interested in working in a corporate billing job at the LTC facility he's been employed with as a staff pharmacist. I told him yes and he reached out to HR and gave them my contact information. She called me within a couple hours for a phone interview and asked if I was okay with the pay range, I asked for two dollars outside of that. During that call she scheduled me a department interview with the team.
I felt the second interview went well, even though I reiterated I would like to make a little outside the pay range. A lot of conversation and pharmacy "jokes" about billing and insurance. At the end of the interview she stated they were just starting interviews and would be in contact in about two weeks to schedule a second round interview with the COO if they decided to move forward.
She called me within an hour to schedule the third interview for two days later with the COO, first thing in the morning. I never even had an opportunity to put in an application.
Morning of the interview I am back at the corporate office and I felt the vibes were very good in this interview as well. A lot of jovial conversation, and getting to discussing my actual healthcare experience, which includes large clinic HIM and billing. They all shook my hand, I said I hoped to hear from them.
It's been a week, I'm just wondering if I even have a shot at this job. It feels like it could be a big, but wonderful opportunity. I don't want to get my hopes up.
Any advice is so appreciated!
