Las Vegas Pole Camp/ Pole Expo

Did anyone else attend this?

Have you attended in the past?

This was my first year attending, and a new show runner who seemed to be doing it without any hired help (but claimed previous experience). it seemed like they significantly oversold the classes- I paid $75/class for a total of 8 classes, which was the standard camp rate ($600 total), and most of my classes had 3-5 people to a pole. This led to things like not having enough spray bottles/clean towels, people ending up injured, and some classes getting through literally one trick. Is this standard for Vegas?

I’ve been to camps internationally and based out of Cali- I’ve never had more that 2-3/pole, and definitely wouldn’t have paid that much to attend a class where I wasn’t guaranteed enough space to move around, or enough time to get through more than one trick. Instructors were gracious but you could tell they weren’t prepared for that many people in the room either. No itinerary confirmations were ever sent out and there were a myriad of other organizational issues… I was impressed with the instructors, but so disappointed in the general experience. Did anyone go and feel like things went as they expected? Are there any reputable camps in a post Covid world, or a way to better vet them?
