I got my Mirena iud inserted in the end of January. Bled the odd time and had the odd spotting.

Never had cramps until the iud and the last could days I had uncomfortable dull cramping and today I started bleeding to the point where my underwear is ruined and I felt very wet from all the blood.

Is it normal to have a moderate flow 4 months into iud insertion after not bleeding much/ at all and the odd spotting for 2 days once a month?

Since the bleeding (today) has started, my cramps are no longer here.
