I must say June Diane Raphael is absolutely killing it as Eva Woods. She’s one of the most entertaining characters so far, and Raphael plays her with just the right balance of vanity, charm, and self-awareness. She’s very much the polished Bel Air SAHM archetype, but what makes her interesting is that she’s not a mean girl. Which explains why Elle is naturally kind. Eva can be out of touch and image conscious, but she’s genuinely trying to make the most out of their predicament. I also love that she is socially savvy, business astute, and understands the value of networking. Also, she’s hilarious. She seriously makes me laugh so much. Such good casting for the mom!
