guys i need help :(

TW MEDICAL TALK pls don’t read if you don’t wanna read about scary things rn!!

my mom said there’s been some things going on with her and she hasn’t been feeling well so she’s going to the doctor’s to make sure it’s not something like cancer. i’m crying so hard right now because i love her despite all her flaws and i don’t know what i’d ever do myself if it did end up being cancer :(( and also my friend’s dog has cancer and she’s being put down so that’s making me rly sad too. pls pls i just need some encouraging words or some grounding because i feel so lost

is caloric intake ok based on my lifestyle?

hi everyone!! :3

i’ve been overweight/obese (i’ve lost and gained a few times) since i was a toddler. i want to lose weight once and for all by changing my lifestyle!

my caloric intake right now is between 1600-1800 depending on the day. i just started my calorie deficit so i don’t rly know if that works or not yet. i’m 5’3 and ~188 lbs and wanna lose weight gradually over the course of 2 years to hit 125 (which i haven’t been since i was like 10)!!

i have a back injury and am doing physical therapy and the workouts aren’t super crazy (although they are getting more difficult). i also have a walking schedule from PT and i walk 20 minutes a day. is that considered sedentary? i think it is but i’m not sure what’s considered *not* sedentary. does that make sense? just wanna make sure i’m doing the calories part right because i went on a high protein “diet” a few months ago but was eating in a surplus and gained weight. i’m still eating high protein (and high fiber) but also weighing my food! :)
