The wait is finally over!!

I ordered my ring (OR5 Gold, size 7) four weeks ago and confirmed my size about three and a half weeks ago, and it has FINALLY shipped! Well… technically, the label has only been created so far, but honestly, I’ll take it 😂 I’m so excited and can’t wait for it to arrive!

Should I go to the hospital for pulsating in my ear and a headache?

About three hours ago, I started feeling a pulsating sensation in my right ear. It comes and goes, but it’s there most of the time. It feels like a heartbeat or like there’s water in my ear, and it matches my actual heartbeat.

Now I also have a throbbing headache on the right side of my head. This is the first time I’ve ever experienced anything like this.

Has anyone had this before? Should I urgently go to the hospital, or can I wait and see if it goes away?

What is the difference between öğrenmek and ders çalışmak?

I feel like both can sometimes be used to convey a similar meaning, especially when talking about learning or studying something. I understand that they are not exactly the same, but I’m having trouble understanding the actual difference in usage. When would a native speaker use öğrenmek, and when would they use ders çalışmak? Some examples would really help.

My gut called an emergency evacuation after In-N-Out

My husband really wanted In-N-Out today, and since I had only eaten three scrambled eggs and some berries all day, I was like, sure, I probably need the calories anyway.

Well… about 30 minutes later, I had the most explosive diarrhea of my life. The burning was insane 😭

Then somehow, right after that, I felt constipated again because it still felt like there was more, but nothing else wanted to come out.

I know the In-N-Out itself didn’t go through me that fast, but I’m pretty sure it triggered my gut to look at everything already in there and say: “Oh, we’re eating now? EVERYBODY OUT.”

P.S. Sorry for the very detailed bathroom story, but I figured this group could handle it 😂

Shipping delayed after 1.5 weeks. Will it take longer than 3 weeks?

Finally received an update after 1.5 weeks. For those who received the same delay message, did your order end up taking longer than three weeks to ship?

Surprising changes after just one injection

I got my first injection on Friday, and so far it’s been great. I barely feel hungry at all, but I’m still trying to eat something every now and then, and drink plenty of water because I know how important that is.

At one point, I decided to grab a snack just to put something in my stomach. I opened the fridge, and do you know what my first choice was?

TOMATOES.

Mind you, I have never intentionally chosen tomatoes as a snack in my life. I’ll eat them in a salad occasionally, but that’s about it. When I realized what I had picked, I was genuinely shocked. 😂

Today I took my first Zepbound injection

Today I took my first Zepbound injection. My relationship with my weight has been a roller coaster since I was around 11 years old. At one point, I was able to reach and maintain a healthy weight of about 145 lbs for a couple of years. I’m 5'11", and that was the weight where I felt the most comfortable and confident in my body.

After moving to the United States, though, my weight just kept going up. No matter how hard I tried, it felt almost impossible to get it back down. I tried 75 Hard and did lose some weight, but I was completely exhausted. It felt like maintaining that level of restriction and exercise took over my whole life, and eventually I gained the weight back.

For a long time, I did not want to try a GLP-1 medication. I think a lot of that hesitation came from all the judgment and negativity I constantly saw online. It made me feel like using medication would somehow mean I had failed or had taken the “easy way out.”

Then my husband started Zepbound, and I saw how much it helped him. Watching his experience made me realize that this is simply another tool, and there is nothing wrong with accepting help when doing everything alone has not been working.

My current weight is around 200 lbs, and my hope is to eventually get back to around 145. I know it will take time, and I’m trying not to put too much pressure on myself, but for the first time in a while, I feel hopeful.

Since I am just starting, I would really appreciate any advice. What do you wish you had known before your first dose? Are there any foods that helped you avoid nausea or other side effects? How did you make sure you were eating enough protein and staying hydrated? I’m also wondering about exercise. Should I start working out right away, or give my body some time to adjust first?

For some additional context, I have had rheumatoid arthritis since I was 12, and one of my wrists was recently surgically fused. Because of that, some workouts and strength-training exercises can be difficult or painful for me, especially anything that puts pressure on my wrists.

I would love to hear any beginner advice, especially from anyone who also has arthritis, joint limitations, or has needed to modify their workouts.

Here’s to day one 🥂

Size 7 vs 8

I just got my Oura sizing kit, and this will be my first Oura Ring, so I’m a little nervous about choosing the wrong size.

At first, size 7 felt great. But after trying different sizes on and off, my fingers started to swell, and at one point I could barely get the size 7 off.

Size 8 feels very comfortable. I can rotate it around my finger easily, and I can take it off without much effort. But now I’m not sure if that means it’s too loose.

My regular ring size is usually a 7, but I know Oura sizing is different. I’m stuck between size 7 and 8 and don’t want to make the wrong choice.
