BEST RELIC YOU EVER FOUND?

BEST RELIC YOU EVER FOUND?

After a long and storied life in the rust caves, I am departing from Qud. As I look back on all I've achieved, this stands out as the coolest relic weapon I have ever found. You could probably just hand this to a level 1 character, and they could beat the game with it.

What are some of the craziest relics you've found?

It's done!

Did it. 100%. 150/150.

I have dreamed within a dream. I have dreamed 20 lives successfully, living their lives better than they could. Slain and befriended 7 fallen creations beset to salt and defile the land, beset to enrich and defend it it. I have wandered the darkling space eternal. I have slain that which can not die, I have tea'd and toasted with a frog so that they may show me how to leap. I have departed my form and become a robot, a priest, a slog, a many faced and many pointed crystal. I have had six arms, sixty arms, and no arms. I have imbibed of water. Lava. Slime. Oil. Warm static. Neutron flux. Wine. Honey. Asphalt. Salt. Blood.

I have elsed Tau. I have slain Tau. I have elsed then slain Tau.

I have formed a golem from an ooze, from a turtle, from a man, from an ape.

I have swapped minds with a variety of creature and person beyond count.

Entered 100 giant clams. Been incinerated. Disintegrated. Dashed across the crags of spacetime. Undone. Remade.

Lost my will to live, and made others lose theirs. Gained the will to ascend, and brought others to the same threshold.

I am.... John Qud. And it's Caving time.

One UI 8.5 Quickpanel on Z Fold6

The quick panel is now a disgusting floating bubble on one side of the screen when the phone is unfolded. It no longer covers the full width of the screen. This is truly awful for muscle memory. It also makes it more compact, which makes it harder to read. In the scenario where I am pulling down the quickpanel my attention is going to be on the quickpanel, so why not use all of the available width of the screen? What is the point of having such a large folding screen if its just going to be the same scale if the phone is folded or not? 75% of the screen is now wasted. It appears there's no way to revert this change. It's awful. It's jarring. The AI digital assistant "Bixby" recommended I install something called quickstar, that didn't help at all, as far as I can tell there's no way to make the quick panel orientation or location span the width of the unfolded phone anymore. You're stuck with this cheap feeling pop-up that can appear anywhere on the screen so your muscle memory is worthless in relation to the shape of the phone cause no matter where you scroll down from it's going to change it's position, there's nothing to get used to in relation to the distance of the UI's X axis from the frame of the phone. Who does a change like this benefit? Who wanted this? I have to now get used to an inferior product, and there's actually no upside.

Am I missing something??? I feel like I have to be, there's no way a company would allow something this jarring to go live without any way to change it back or without a clear benefit to making a change like this. I just want to know how to put it back the way it was, or I'd like to know what is meant to be better about this layout. Especially cause notifications are still at the top of the screen, and it used to be you could scroll from the top and follow the quickpanel animation with your eyes, it was a logical flow in the context of where you were looking. See notification, scroll from top, eye follows notification until its reveal as the quickpanel slides open, read notification. It all happened where you were already looking. Now? See notification. Scroll from top. Move your eyes from the notification to search for (ik its like .2 seconds but still) where the quickpanel decided to show up in relation to where you happened to thumb down from the top, scan the small pop-up quickpanel for what you're looking for.

What's more is at the bottom of the quickpanel settings there's a "contact us" button that just keeps giving an error repeatedly. It doesn't even work.

I'm interpreting this whole ordeal as... Even though I'm under the impression I'm still alive, I actually died last night and went to hell. And the hell I'm in is named One UI 8.5. And it's a hell I can't escape, cause there's no settings option to revert the quickpanel changes.

I'm not coping well.
