Edit the default panel in QuickStar?
When using QuickStar, is there a way to edit/modify the already default existing template? I fail to recreate the default theme myself. The reason is because I just want to change the button colors to blue(like in the screenshot), but without changing anything else.
Simply said I want the default quick panel, but with colour button blue only in quick panel.
"Wallpapers and style > Colors Palette > Basic colors" changes also other colors, that's why its not a solution.
The new One UI 8.5 features for S23 series are quite disappointing.
This is everything that's new. At the very least Samsung could've give Quick Sharing with Apple devices to the S23 series too, but this one feature is missing. Other than these listed features and the visuals being tweaked, nothing really changed lol
one ui 8.5 experiences?
I have Samsung galaxy s23 ultra and im wondering should i update to 8.5 from 8.0? Im mainly concerned of the lagging and bugs etc. How is the experience for everyone else? Is the update as bad as some people say?
S25 Ultra & Galaxy Watch Ultra
Hi guys. I found an interesting bundle locally. Galaxy S25 Ultra as new ( 9 battery cycle ) + Galaxy watch ultra 2024 sealed for around 1k € . Is it worth it?
One ui 8.5 stable update
What I noticed the most is that the jitters are completely gone the phone feels fast and more responsive
The beta version had severe problems the mispositioning of icons
The battery icon was bigger my quick panel used to lag whenever I swiped it down
Multitasking and switching between apps was very laggy the overall opening and closing animations were also a little bit laggy so far it has not even lagged once
Iam yet to test the battery performance
But the overall update seems good the speed and the control has improved there are no more lags and jitters
CAN'T SWITCH APP FROM SWIPING
i hope this just a bug or something turned off from goodlock.
One UI 8.5 quick panel expanding the toggles
This lag started happening after I updated to one ui 8.5 on my s23+.
Samsung rolls out One UI 8.5 for Galaxy S23 FE globally
UNEXPECTED! Galaxy S22 is getting 5 May 2026 security update in Korea. We'll see when Samsung releases the One Ul 8.5 for it.
Calendar "Upcoming Events" Widget Text too big (S23+ - OneUI 8.5)
Has anyone else noticed this issue? The text was reasonably sized with OneUI 8.0 but after the update it almost looks like the text is a few sizes bigger. I've tried deleting and re-adding the widget, and playing with phone font sizes but nothing fixes it.
Appreciate Samsung for listening to the customer
i am a vivid user of Samsung S series and i have work profile setup. I had found it difficult to switch personal and work profile by clicking on the tabs. I had raised this issue in feedback for adding into Samsung Goodlook or otherwise. I updated the phone for OneUI 8.5 and voila !!! I checked the first thing by opening the home and swiping and it worked. Thanks Samsung for making my life less difficult.

Pro-grade document scans
Scanning documents is now faster and more powerful. A scan button will appear automatically whenever you point your camera at a document. You can easily capture multiple pages into a single PDF file, while the new Remove tool automatically cleans up distracting fingers, folded corners, and unwanted moire for a perfect finish.
Capture both sides of the story
Now you can record yourself and the action in front of you. Just tap the dual recording icon in the Video mode quick controls to start filming with the front and rear cameras at the same time.
Log video color previews in real time
Take the guesswork out of filming in Log. You can now apply a cinematic LUT preview while you record, letting you see exactly how your final color-corrected video will look before you even start editing. LUT previews are also available in Gallery and Studio.
Share with Apple devices
Share with even more devices than before. You can now use Quick Share to seamlessly share photos, videos, and other files with iPhones, iPads, Macs, and other devices that support AirDrop.
Dim strobing in videos
A new setting lets you dim strobing effects in videos for more comfortable viewing.
From Nothing OS to One UI: Is a used Galaxy S23 series worth it in 2026?
Is it worth buying an older Samsung Galaxy S23 series (or newer) device just to get back into the One UI ecosystem in 2026?
My back-story:
Past: I used to have a Galaxy S20 FE until it broke.
Present: I switched to the CMF Phone 1. I liked Nothing OS at first, but honestly, it feels like it's gone downhill update after update.
I really miss the sheer amount of customization One UI offers, Samsung DeX, and all the extra power-user features.
For those who made a similar jump or are still rocking an S23/S24 series device today, how is the performance holding up? Is the software experience still as robust as it used to be, or should I look elsewhere?
The one thing I wanted with one UI 8.5, the airdrop support, I did not get.(S23+ Aus)
I was so hyped for this update just because of the airdrop support. Finally I can easily send stuff to my friends without a need for a third party app or settings anything up. Today I updated and found out the s23 series ain't even getting it. My day is ruined
Why am i unable to use the more advanced quick panel sizing with QuickStar?
So i just got the One UI 8.5 update and i wanted to make my own quick settings sizing, as i've seen you can make the media player look like a rectangle.
The problem is, even if QuickStar is enabled, i can set images for background for different buttons and stuff, but i can't resize more than what the deafult vanilla UI is letting me.
Am i looking in the wrong place for this setting? Can someone please help me to understand what's up?
Quick panel stuttering after One UI 8.5
As you can see from the video, it stutters a lot. This also happens (less severely) during normal use. I advise everyone who has the same problem to report it using the Members app. I use an S24, this is unacceptable on a flagship device.
