My psychiatrist diagnosed me with ADHD, prescribed Strattera, then told me I don’t have ADHD

I went to my psychologist and explained my struggles with focus, reading, and staying on task for long periods. Usually, I can eventually get things done when there’s a deadline, but it takes a lot of pressure to get me started.
She diagnosed me with ADHD and prescribed Strattera (atomoxetine) 50 mg.
At first, it did have an effect. It made my head feel very quiet, but eventually that became a problem. I felt like I wasn’t focusing or thinking about tasks anymore, and I stopped having much interest or initiative to do things. I also experienced some other side effects, including problems with my sexual function.
I went back to her and explained everything I was experiencing with Strattera. She then told me that I don’t have ADHD.
I explained to her about the difficulties I’ve had for years, including my problems with focus, reading, procrastination, and how these issues affected my academic performance and daily life.
She stopped the Strattera and prescribed me some vitamins. She also asked me to keep a record for a month of the things I struggle to focus on and then come back.
I’m now confused about the whole situation and I’m considering getting a second opinion.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Can Strattera not working for you, or causing these kinds of effects, actually mean that you don’t have ADHD?
