Lowest dosage to manage A1C?

Hi, I am about to try Mounjaro despite my extreme opposition to it. My A1C has been between 6.3 and 6.6 over the last year on 30 mg of Actos, 25 mg of Jardiance and 100 mg of Januvia, plus 13 units of long acting insulin (added recently and took me down to 6.3) at bedtime.

I kind of want to get off the Jardiance after having two UTIs in the last month and a half (never had one before in my life). I HATED my previous endocrinologist, so finally just saw a new one. She of course went in hard on me starting a GLP-1.

Weight loss is not a particular goal of mine; I just want to manage my diabetes the best way possible. So am just wondering what the lowest dose has been that people were able to get and keep their A1C low on?

It bothers me because my A1C is well within the limits of what is considered “good control” (the concern is average daily glucose in the 150 range, I think). But if I could get off the other meds (and not spend my whole life projectile vomiting), I might consider it. But I am already wondering if it would be possible to stay at 2.5 or even 5 or if that’s a pipe dream.

Plumbing set up behind the wall

Hi all…I live in an apartment building and only the toilet bowl itself is outside of the wall. Everything else is behind the wall and there is a button you push to flush the toilet. (Photo to hopefully help demonstrate.)

I have been having trouble with the toilet clogging/draining slowly for the past several months. Last week, I was running the water in the sink and the toilet started bubbling up. They brought a plumber in again, but the other day I ran the dishwasher and an hour later woke up to the toilet having overflowed. By the time I discovered it, the water had gone down again and there was a layer of grey sludge/toilet paper. (Photo doesn’t show it at its worst, as I didn’t think to take a photo at the time.)

They had said previously that they might need to open the wall to deal with it, and my super has now said that he meant for them to open up the wall (or remove the toilet from the wall?) when they came last week-and they will be doing that now.

My question is more related to how difficult of a fix this would normally be because of everything being behind the wall. Wondering if anybody has had experience with this type of set-up?

I am on the 5th floor of a 24-story building. I suspect that my woes could be related to the apartments above or below me, but I’m not sure.

I’m just curious as to the logistics of this set-up, and whether this is definitely fixable or if I could be facing the need for a move. Maybe I’m being overly dramatic, but I live in NYC and my apartment is rent-stabilized. Perfect in every way, until now.

The building was constructed about 12 years ago and had a lot of problems when it was first built, but those were supposedly all taken care of and I’ve never had a problem with anything else.

(I risk doxxing myself with this, but this was a pre-fab building where the units were built off site and then transported to the location. Supposed to be the next big thing, but logistical and financial issues had it dead in the water after this building.)

Just wondering if I am doomed or if this is fixable. The previous plumber literally suggested that I consider not flushing toilet paper anymore.

Go home, Libre, you’re drunk.

It’s 6am, I work overnights so I am sitting up, and my finger stick says 113. I never see false lows normally unless I sleep on that arm.

It’s been doing this for a few days and it’s annoying. But what’s even more annoying is reporting a sensor issue to them and having to ship the old one back, so I will tolerate it.

Who else wants to see a flashback of Hannah remembering seeing June?

I really would like to see some kind of flashback where Agnes/Hannah remembers seeing June either at the house or when they had her in that box or both.

I realize they might need to use a different child actor but I am dying to see just how much Hannah really remembers.

In The Heights at City Center

Now that ticket sales have started, when do we think we will hear any news about the casting? I’m happy to see it no matter what, but having seen performances in Long Island (don’t sleep on The Gateway in Bellport!!!) and at the Signature Theatre in DC/Arlington, I am curious to see if any of my favorites from those performances will make their way to this production.

I saw that there was a dream casting post a few months ago, but would love to hear people’s (realistic) thoughts about who we might see!!!
