Fast food delivery drivers

They’re a fucking health hazard folks. A just eat driver on a tank-sized electric bike came whizzing through a red light earlier and had to jam on to avoid my misses and baby at a pedestrian crossing. He was looking at his phone sailing through a red light like an idiot. If he looked up a second later it could have ended very differently. After me and him had a few choices words, he just continued on across the crossing in front of other people. I work in the city centre and see shit like this every day. Something needs to be done at top level before something really bad happens. They’re death traps in the wrong hands.

Great to be back out

Haven’t been able to get out half as much as I’d like this year, (two small kids) but managed to sneak a few hours yesterday after dinner.

Went to a stretch of canal I used to fish with my old man when I was only a pup.

I had a heap of little silvers on maggots and lost a decent tench but tbh I didn’t care. It was so peaceful being out, sitting down among the reeds on a lovely warm evening, and watching the wildlife happening all around.

It really is the best hobby in the world for finding some peace and quiet. Get out there and enjoy it!

Belly boats

Has anyone bought one of those belly boats/float tubes? What’s the craic with them? Basically a floating seat you paddle around lakes in? I saw a few online for around €300 (some even cheaper) brand new and I’m seriously tempted.

My fear is I’ll use it once and never use it again (I’ve got form for this).
