
Area Moment of Inertia Confusion
If you have an I beam, solid circle, and solid rectangular cross sections, how does assuming their areas are the same vs different affect their overall rankings in terms of greatest to least area moment of inertia? got this wrong in a technical interview a while ago, and I forgot the reasoning.
I'm having the same confusion with solid circle vs hollow circle.
This was the interview question. I believe the areas were different.
