A slice of good

Had quite the travel day yesterday. Flight originally delayed 15 mins- nbd. I check flight aware and my flight is STILL in Dallas. Whatever- I’ll go to the bar and grab a snack. Delayed again. This time for 2 hours and 15 mins. Keep checking and my plane is taxiing in Dallas for over two hours. Now frontier is saying they found us a new plane and delay it to 8:30 (original flight supposed to leave at 5). All of us are just excited to have a plane again. Also, I’m gowild so this flight only costed me $15 so I couldn’t really complain too much. Frontier issues my meal voucher as we are boarding. Sweet! I wasn’t really expecting anything since it’s frontier but now my flight was free! We get boarded- wait at the gate for an HOUR before the pilot comes on and tells us to deplane- bad engine. Lots of angry flyers now. We all march over to the new gate with new departure time 10:20. 10:15 rolls around and no announcements. I tell the girl next to me jokingly that “we can still make 10:20 if they board everyone rlly fast” and they immediately come on and start boarding us. Finally landed in okc around 1am CT. I fly frontier a lot so I really wasn’t expecting any sort of compensation from them but I was pleasantly surprised when I got home to a $50 VOUCHER in my email!! Basically made $$ (even though I could have driven in the time it took) All this to say that: if you’re flying frontier, keep your expectations low. And who knows! They might surprise you.

ADVICE NEEDED

Was planning a day trip for tomorrow with a red eye flight to Orlando supposed to leave tonight and then flying home tomorrow night. I purchased a single day ticket with tomorrow’s date 8/15. Just got the notification that my flight for tonight is cancelled and the universal call center is already closed. Will they give me credit to use my ticket another day? Or am I out $160. The other option would be to take a 6am flight tomorrow morning but then would only give me ~4 hours in the park which just doesn’t seem worth the trouble to me. Any advice is appreciated!!

Flight lands at 5:30am, park opens at 9 (8am EPA) What should I do?

Hey guys! Looking to do a day trip with an overnight flight into MCO and leaving that evening around 9pm (on a Saturday). Any ideas on how to spend that couple of hours in the am before park opens? Planning on ubering and not renting a car/parking- also planning on IOA but may splurge on the double park pass and hit USO if I’m feeling like it.
