taylor thinks she’s lorelai gilmore, but she’s actually rory

after seeing some comments pointing out the physical resemblance between lorelai and taylor, i thought of an ironic analogy where blandie believes she’s lorelai, but is actually rory gilmore.

let’s look at it this way: rory was raised in a present family (excluding her father) that constantly spoiled her and told her she could achieve anything because she was the best.

she grew up with this superiority complex, seeing herself as above others in terms of talent and intelligence. her mother always made a point of projecting her own dreams onto rory - encouraging her toward harvard, for example. as rory got older, she realized the world didn’t revolve around her, but she couldn’t accept it. she stayed blinded by the pink-colored world people around her had created.

so when she received her first “no,” she fell apart and blamed others instead of herself. on top of that, rory was always in relationships, molding herself to fit whoever she was dating at the time, painting them as villains after breakups - only to end up pregnant without even knowing who the father might be.

in contrast, we have lorelai:

she grew up without support from her parents and had to fight for her independence to build her own future. she achieved everything on her own merit, without anyone constantly praising her behind the scenes, and was judged every step of the way. lorelai is naturally charming and funny. she dated some terrible guys along the way, but in the end, she married her best friend.

now, where does taylor fit into this:

like rory, taylor grew up in a very supportive, almost overly praising environment that essentially shaped her career and dreams, but she believes she achieved everything purely through her own talent, without any push. she was raised being praised and gained fans who constantly reinforce how much better she is than everyone else - and she truly believes it, our “english teacher.”

the “no” moments in taylor’s life may have come from different places, the leaked phone call with kanye, her breakup with joe, or even public and fan rejection of ttpd/tlosg, but she quickly tried to reshape every narrative to stay on top. and now, she’s engaged to a complete unknown maga just to promote her brand, and it wouldn’t be surprising if that extended to having children.

she wants to convince herself that she achieved everything like lorelai, alone, through merit, while being “hated” along the way to fuel her ongoing victim complex. she thinks she’s spontaneous and funny, but actually comes off as irritating and inconvenient most of the time, doesn’t mature mentally (despite her worn appearance), and will remain a perpetual teenager. she believes all her ex-boyfriends were terrible and that she ended up marrying the love of her life, who also happens to be her best friend.

sooo, taylor is simply a billionaire version of rory!
