The cracks were always there...

When Taylor released ME! after Reputation, it was the sign of her mediocrity and inability to come up with good lyrics. The fact that she got away with that kids bop and had to remove that one line. I was shocked when I heard Me! for the first time. And I had the same reaction listening to Life of a Showgirl. Utter disbelief! She could have had a boring melody with decent lyrics, but no.

The countdown, the easter egging. All for that disaster single Me! Her reaction to the Lover album name being noticed straightaway was hilarious. If you think people won't notice a bright neon sign in your music video, how dumb do you think everyone is.

She's always been so stupid, I'm realising it now.

She made folklore because she had extra time during the pandemic and definitely plagiarised the lyrics from Joe or Aaron who were both too polite to say anything. Her entire folklore era has been inspired by Joe, the movies he probably recommended, the books beside his bed (lol) and after the criticism of Lover she wanted to prove herself.

I still can't believe how Jack Antonoff and Joe let her release such a shitty single like Me!

Now with no real muse, since Travis obviously doesn't read or think, she has no real inspiration. Now it all has to come from her, like Showgirl 🤣

She needs to go back to school, get some degrees and a real Education. She's regressing so bad, it's painful to witness in real time.

When I watch her old interviews and the current NYT video, I cant believe it's the same person. She used to be semi articulate when she was younger. Now it's just gibberish word salad with filler words.

The mask has slipped officially for me. No longer a fan.

Feel so disappointed.

Ugly Ass Merch

For someone who declares herself as an "artist," she really does not have any good merch. These merch are so ugly that if she were my favourite artist (not that I would ever consider it), I would not buy or wear any of her merch. They're just so cringe and bland, like her and her "music."

Found at a resale store in Kansas

Not even in the heart of Chief's territory are people keeping Tayvis era merch lol

My eyes have been opened over the years

Hey y’all, this is my first post. I was once a major fan of Taylor since the Speak Now era. I owned every album on CD (I’m elder Gen Z), spent hours making friendship bracelets, went to the eras tour and the movie. But I’m not sure if it’s my frontal lobe developing now but now I get so annoyed seeing her, the abnormal amount of variants have left a nasty taste in my mouth, and her attitude towards younger artists like Olivia and Billie is weird af. I’m not a major Olivia fan but it disturbed me the whole cruel summer/deja vu ordeal as it was finally broken down to me. I find it hypocritical as Taylor actually copied quite a bit herself. But Billie on the other hand, I do ADORE (not gonna go more for my love for Billie as this is not a billie stan Reddit), and the Swifties had been so creepily hostile towards Billie lately until I can’t even associate myself with the fandom. Making terrible incest jokes, body shaming, saying her Tourette’s was fake…I can’t just deal with the fandom anymore. Something vile is just with the whole thing as they keep appearing on posts about Billie like some pest infestation and I don’t have any Raid to spray. I’m sure they are like that with other singers too as Charli, Ariana, and of course Olivia Rodrigo come to mind.

I can’t deal with Taylor’s greed anymore. Releasing new variants each time I sneeze and her cult fanbase buys it. Her last album was an insult to the music artform as a whole.

Also the racism. The Swifties act like they love Beyonce right now to target other artists but they are just token stanning Beyonce. (I am actually a black Beyonce fan, went to Renaissance and Cowboy Carter and saw her as a kid when she just left Destiny’s child) and i can tell you as soon as Beyoncé beats Taylor in something? Suddenly it is slur galore…it became more apparent in the Eras tour/Renaissance debacle). They probably only know single ladies and crazy in love let’s be real…they don’t listen to anything outside of Taylor and whoever Taylor tell them is safe for them to listen to (Sabrina, Gracie and more recently Sombr) No one else…it’s a scary hive mind and I cannot deal with it

The Era’s Tour illusion…

The other day I was scrolling online and a video came up of Taylor’s performance of “You need to calm down” on the VMA’s.

The thing that shocked me, was that she went from a sitting down position, to getting up and singing (presumably live, as opposed to a pre recorded track), and how shaky her voice was, as well as how, out of breath she seemed when she had literally just got up and strutted to one side of the stage. I have provided the link to the YouTube video.

Now, what got me was the fact that so many Swifties think she was SO amazing being able to put on a 3hr plus performance, singing “live” during the Era’s tour… when in reality it’s super obvious with some clips online (search you need to calm down era’s tour), she has her “speaking/singing parts” where they turn her microphone on.. before it goes back to the pre recorded track.

This is obvious during some other songs too where the pre recorded track is a certain pitch and she comes in and sings her “live part” in a completely different pitch.

What gets me annoyed the most is the way she tries to make out she’s one of the first female singers to train super hard (we’ve all heard the treadmill story, I believe she probably did this once and then never stopped telling the story)… because where was that infamous training montage in the documentary? Surely she could have faked the scene even, because she was going on about it so much 😅

Her show was basically made to be as easy as possible for her… look at her costumes and hair / make up throughout the whole 3hrs… she looks like she’s just stepped out from make up and hair. Compare that to some other people over the years (Beyoncé, Britney, Gaga), who look half dead by the end of their shows (and rightly so). Even Britney… she had some abuse for lip syncing but at least she danced her butt off through the whole show with *actual* choreography that wasn’t just strutting, pointing, wiggling and repeating.

Yet in the documentary we had her make it look super hard that she was riding (what seems like a fun contraption) from one end of the stage to the other… yes she was walking and running about a little but so would I for the money she was making per show!!

I hope deep down she actually realises how easy she’s had everything since day one (and knows she can never compare herself to any true artist). She had her dad buying her career, she has her team which is basically her family around her, Kanye basically escalating her career (I’m sorry but he did, she played the victim card to her advantage), the whole story about her master recordings… although it was her dad who sold them in the first place to make money… all of her interviews these days are controlled by her and the team so she CHOOSES the questions… (she’s never had any truly awful interviews like Britney did), she can push the Ellen was mean asking about my boyfriends narrative but please, that was nothing and she could have easily answered Ellen back had it not been for her team wanting the good girl image for her.

Now, I’m not saying she hasn’t put any work in whatsoever.. I’ll give her some credit, she’s played the game and gone along with everything her parents have said and does know a thing or two by now about making money… but did she do it all alone in the same way people like Madonna did? Nope. My issue is with the way she exaggerates every little detail and story…

Edit: Grammar (went on a rant towards the end but I stand by what I say)! 😅

Donations and faux generosity

Disclaimer - I am not nor have I ever been a Swiftie. I know some of her songs, have enjoyed some of them, and largely think about her as much as I do any other pop star.

But I see a lot about Taylor Swift's donations, in particular her fans and media coverage trying to push this narrative that she's somehow this uber generous figure, and it makes my eye twitch. I suppose you could make the argument that she isn't mandated to donate any of her money, but given the amount of taxes she avoids (not accusatory, just based on US tax law), she's paying WAY below what she would if she was being taxed correctly.

To be clear, a million dollar donation from Swift is roughly the same as someone who makes $160,000/yr donating $100 to a charity. This is not an amount worthy of a news article. This is not true altruism.

Humans have an extremely hard time comprehending how large a billion really is, which is why wealthy people get away with this PR stunts again and again and again.

Looks like Ophelia and Opalite’s journey is over😂

Goodbye forever! Dr*ke’s album bombs completely knocked them off the charts for good.

Why do Swifties constantly compare TTPD to Folklore and Evermore?

Two albums considered her best with a bloated, poorly written word vomit mess that tries to cram in as many metaphors as possible, without rhyme or reason. Just because in Taylor's mind metaphors = poetry.

TTPD constantly repeats itself to the point where half the songs could be removed and nothing would be lost, TTPD seems to have no focus or linearity, and has some of the worst lines I've heard in music. Not "Eldest Daughter" levels of bad writing, but pretty close. One praiseworthy thing I can say about TLOAS is that as bad as the lines as, they are nowhere near as clunky as the garbage on TTPD.

So High School might be one of the worst love songs ever written and is completely out of place with the aesthetic of the album (which is just ripping off Lana Del Rey. A usual occurrence for Taylor).

"Tattoo Golden Retriever" screams ChatGPT. "1830 without all the racists". "you take my ring off my middle finger and put it on the one people put wedding rings on". "Quick, quick, tell me something awful like you are a poet trapped inside the body of a finance guy".

All of the beats sound like generic ringtones and the album sounds like one long song because there's so little variation in the melodies. It's like both Jack and Taylor had deadlines, so they rushed out a first draft album and pressed it for release. I have a hard time believing they worked on TTPD for longer than 6 months.

I could go on listing all the lines that don't flow, that try too hard to evoke imagery but are too specific to be interesting, or the lines that are so odd you just raise an eyebrow while listening and think "is she high? The fuck is she on about?"

It shows me that Swifties have no taste, which was obvious since they stan Taylor.

Lucy Dacus on whether she would officiate at Travis and Taylor's wedding

Laughing is the appropriate response.

Elizabeth wore it better, naturally

Imagine owning beautiful, iconic pieces of jewelry but not bothering to learn how to style them. Same earrings, but the way Taylor wears them doesn’t do justice to the opals or Elizabeth Taylor. The least glamorous, most dull ‘showgirl’ 😿

Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce being a bit vain

https://www.harpercollins.com/pages/nodumbquestions

The Kelce Brothers are selling a book that they "wrote". I laughed a bit reading the About the "Authors" section. Authors.....🙄

I also read examples of what the book is like...

BROTHERHOOD: Which brother lifts the heaviest weights in the weight room?

CUISINE: Do you pour the cereal into the bowl first, or the milk?

Here is their "Author" Synopsis. It is a bit braggadocious, if you ask me.

"JASON KELCE

Jason Kelce is one of the most beloved Philadelphia athletes of all time. As the Eagles’ starting center, Jason helped bring the city its first-ever Super Bowl victory, holds the franchise record for most consecutive starts, and delivered an iconic parade speech that cemented his fan-favorite status. After a storied thirteen-year NFL career, Jason is a future lock for the Pro Football Hall of Fame and will be broadcasting as a part of Monday Night Countdown on ESPN. Outside of football, Jason and his wife Kylie have four daughters and are both major advocates for the Eagles Autism Foundation.

TRAVIS KELCE

Travis Kelce aka The Big Yeti is a ten-time Pro Bowler and three-time Super Bowl Champ having played thirteen seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs. One of the best to ever do it, Travis holds countless records, most recently becoming the Chiefs’ all-time leading touchdown scorer. Off the field, Travis is building a significant media career with multiple projects under his belt and serves as the creative director for his lifestyle brand Tru Kolors. He’s also dedicated to his foundation 87 & Running which helps empower disadvantaged youth by providing opportunities to explore their talents in business, STEM, and the arts."

This Is Way Too Much

An entire section of magazines dedicated to Taylor and sometimes Travis. I wonder how many trees died to make this possible.

u/IceWarm1980 — 3 days ago

He saved her from the fate of Ophelia (he just doesn’t know what it is)

I honestly find it surprising that he hasn’t once asked her “hey what does this song you wrote about me mean?” Or that she hasn’t explained it to him either? Like how are you in a relationship with someone who makes this big hit song about you inspired by a play and you don’t even know what it is 💀

Swifties in the comments were like “if only Travis knew someone who was really into Shakespeare and literature 😏” like girl I don’t think she is either tbh.
