I keep seeing posts on here about controversial guests that were in attendance at Taylor and Travis's wedding. I thought I'd start a list so people can maybe grasp the magnitude of who she chose to invite to her wedding. Feel free to add to this in the comments!

-Nelly: Accused of rape/sexual assault in 2017;

-Chris Rock: Allegations of rape.

-Hugh Grant: Arrested for misdemeanor lewd conduct with sex worker Divine Brown in 1995;

-Zoë Kravitz: Made inappropriate/suggestive comments in a 2013 interview about then-14-year-old Jaden Smith.

-MGK: Made inappropriate comments about Eminem’s daughter Hailie when she was a minor; also has messy/toxic relationship discourse.

- Lena Dunham: Wrote about sexually abusing her sister/ multiple accusations of racist remarks.

-Brad Pitt: Angelina Jolie alleged domestic/child abuse tied to a 2016 plane incident and later filings;

-Tyreek Hill: Pleaded guilty in 2015 to domestic assault and battery by strangulation involving his pregnant girlfriend; later faced additional domestic-violence-related allegations/disputes.

-Rashee Rice: Pleaded guilty to felony charges from a high-speed hit-and-run crash; sentenced to probation and jail time. Also sued by an ex alleging domestic abuse.

-Druski: Named in a civil lawsuit alleging he participated in a sexual assault during an alleged 2018 incident.

-Xavier Worthy: Arrested on a felony domestic violence allegation involving choking/impeding breathing; DA declined to prosecute, but ex-fiancée obtained a temporary protective order.

-Mike Vrabel: Had a very public extramarital affair with Dianna Russini. Initially lied about the affair but later admitted to it when more photos were published. In April 2026 he went on leave "to seek counseling" but returned to coaching two days later.

UPDATED:

• Steven J. Demetriou: executive of Amentum which had a class action lawsuit filed against it this year in regards to conditions at ICE Detention Facility Camp East Montana. Former executive at Jacobs Solutions - In October 2023, migrant workers filed a lawsuit against Jacobs Solutions, Jacobs Engineering, CH2M, and related entities under the U.S. Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act citing labor abuse.

• Sacha Baron Cohen: Accused by Rebel Wilson of on-set sexual harassment and inappropriate conduct; he has denied the allegations

• Kareem Hunt: was seen on surveillance footage shoving, bull-rushing and kicking a woman in a Cleveland hotel February 2018. He was subsequently dropped by the Chiefs for lying about the incident and was placed on the NFL commissioners exempt list.

I’ve been a fan of Taylor’s for most of my life. I went to the red tour, the reputation tour (where I was invited to meet her), the eras tour. I used to run a fan account on tumblr where she followed me. When I say I was a big fan, I mean it.

But the last few years have really put a bad taste in my mouth. There is no celebrity on earth who I am willing to put my morals aside for, including her. The use of ‘bitches’ to refer to women in her latest album despite saying in interviews how there’s ’no such thing as a bitch’. The refusal to speak up against the White House using her songs/clips from her tour on their social media to promote their heinous actions. And now, inviting a man who runs an ICE detention centre to her WEDDING. I’m absolutely disgusted.

Fans can argue all they want that ‘she’s just a helpless scared little girl!!!!’ But the truth is, she’s a grown 36 year old woman with enough money and power to make REAL LASTING change, and she actively chooses not to. At best, she’s a people pleaser who needs to snap out of it. Maybe it’s because I’m fans of celebs who actually speak up (Olivia Rodrigo, Hayley Williams), but this silence from her is deafening. And no, I don’t expect Taylor Swift to be the voice of politics, but when you care so deeply about something, you wanna speak up even if it means losing money or ‘friends’. This is shown in her Miss Americana documentary, which I don’t think was fake. I think at the time she genuinely felt this way. But now that it benefits her to associate with more right wing people, that’s what she’s doing. It’s all a game.

I think who you choose to surround yourself with says a lot about you. And Taylor’s current circle is very telling. If she wants to be the wife of a manchild for the rest of her life, so be it. But to be so out of touch, so careless… it’s disgusting.

If not supporting her while she runs in the same circles as people who do/promote people who do active harm on the world makes me a ‘fake fan’ then I’m the fakest fan there ever was.

I’m now looking to sell my collection of signed items (including a rare signed picture of her from the rep era that I got when I met her). If she can make money off exploiting her fans, I figured I should make some money too.

I was at first flabbergasted that Adam Sandler of all people was the officiant. I've never seen him hang out with the couple.

But then the pieces feel into place. Travis had a cameo in Happy Gilmore 2. They must have met on set. Adam Sandler is known for being willing to make any shitty movie so long as it will give him and his friends a paycheck. He is also known for being extremely loyal to his friends and casting them over and over in all his movies.

I also know that Travis' team has said they are trying to get him into movies. And Taylor has tried the same thing in the past.

Adam being asked to officiate the wedding for them makes perfect sense. It gives them the exact connection they need for the next phase of their careers. Meanwhile, it adds star power to the documentary they will inevitably release of the performance, I mean "wedding".
