Knitted clown figures I’ve been working on lately

I’ve been spending some time recently experimenting with knitted clown figures as part of my crafting practice.

What I find most interesting is that each figure seems to develop its own presence. Some feel playful, some slightly strange, and some more quiet or expressive in ways I didn’t fully plan.

It’s still an ongoing experiment, but I’m really enjoying the process of turning simple yarn into something with character.

I’d love to hear what you think or how you approach more experimental crafting like this.

I’ve been making these knitted clown figures — curious what people think of them

Hi everyone,

I’ve been working on a small personal project recently: knitted clown figures.

Each one ends up a bit different. Some feel a little playful, some a bit strange, and honestly I don’t fully control how their “personality” turns out until they’re finished. That’s part of what keeps me going with them.

I enjoy the process of turning yarn into something that feels like it has character, even if it’s just sitting on a shelf.

I’d love to hear what people think,do these kinds of textile figures feel interesting, unsettling, nostalgic… or something else entirely?

Appreciate any thoughts or feedback.
