Haven’t posted in a while - 4 recent meals

Haven’t posted in a bit - I rotated off cook unity for a few weeks and tried Locale, which is in San Fran and Los Angeles. I don’t plan on quitting cook unity by any means, just adding some variety. Here’s 4 recent meals I was really happy with. That maple bourbon blackened chicken was fantastic! The grilled chicken Caesar wrap was good, and filling. It’s basically his salad but in a wrap. I liked the way the Piri Piri and lemongrass chicken was grilled. It added a nice char flavor to the chicken, which was a nice change from the standard oven baked chicken.

Waldorf salad - good but small

This was pretty good - I think most calories came from the dressing. The portion itself was pretty small and I think it could have used more greens. That said - it was still good.

This one was great!

Not many walnuts, and you have to cook the shrimp a certain way. I’d suggested searing them really well first, then putting them aside. Cook the rice and broccoli on its own then put it in a bowl and put the shrimp on top. I added lemon - and it paired well!

Yesss! Great meal, no seed oils

Chef Cat comes through again! I loved this! I had it for breakfast after a workout. Perfect portion size, not too much farro (thankfully!), good amount of sweet potatoes, and the dressing was both acidic and sweet - it paired well with the salmon. The salmon was cooked perfectly and reheated in the mini oven well. Best of all - no seed oils! It’s hard to find meals made with olive oil only, but that’s important to me. If I ever leave CU, it will be due to the few options without seed oils (soy, canola, etc).

Salmon in lobster sauce - not my jam

This wasn’t bad at all - liked the salmon and potatoes, but the lobster sauce wasn’t something I really liked. Almost too rich for me. Had I skipped the lobster sauce, I would have enjoyed it more. Probably won’t order again.

New favorite!

This was soo good! It was pretty healthy - I don’t think it was as high as the calories state it is. The cornbread paired well with the flavorful butter and the lemon flavor added good acidity. Thankfully, I have another one coming today 😊

Good - I question the protein

This was good overall and pretty healthy. The meal came with a tomato vinaigrette which was just ok. It tasted like watered down tomato sauce rather than vinaigrette. The other cup is hummus, it was good but also a bit watery. I loved the cooked baby tomatoes! I question that high protein count - the chicken didn’t seem to add up to 40+ grams. Overall, I’d order this again - solid 4 stars

Messy but delicious

This chef makes the most flavorful meals. I really liked this one! It is messy though

3 meals: ok, good, and great

I ordered the cachapas from a review on here. It was interesting, and good, but not my preferred dish or flavor profile. I won’t order that one again.
Rainbow grain salmon was great - filling and flavorful with some spice
Salmon miso udon was pretty spectacular! I recommend

Good and surprisingly filling

I cut up the chicken, which is why it’s in small pieces. I do think I was a bit shorted on chicken since the amount wasn’t too much. However( this was very filling! The dressing was very good. I’ll be adding this to rotation!

After a week of mediocre meals, these were great turnarounds!!

A couple great meals this week. The salmon tacos were phenomenal, a new favorite! The Persian stew was flavorful and healthy with lots of protein. A++
