18 Games

It took me 18 games to get my first win.

I am brand new to fighting games, and fighting for my LIFE. Fighting games have always looked so fun and I've always wanted to get into them so I'm putting in the effort finally but man it sucks. Working a full day job, getting off and doing fighting game homework for 2 hours to get my ass beat, then time to do life duties like house chores.

I'm only playing Ghost Rider right now, I'm about 9 hours in, started last thursday, done a bit of training, but mostly relying on auto combos.

My number one issues it getting trapped in the corner. I block and block and block and block high and low, and then finally the opponents attack chain ends and they use an assist then keep attacking so I have to keep blocking and then after what feels like forever they're finally out of assists and it's my turn to hit them and-- my light attack whiffs, it doesn't reach them, and then the enemy hits me for only the second time this game and they kill me. I've tried switching to mediums but they're too slow and I get countered.

I'm Bronze 1 with -1 Elo lol. You're telling me this is the WORST a player can get and they're 2 comboing me? I'm getting corner to corner combod in literally every game. I think enemies are "Perfect" rounding me on like a 30% basis.

I WILL persevere but DAMN it's no fun right now. At least it looks cool when the enemy makes a snow angel with my body in the pavement.

Premium Extras for CoS Campaign?

About 2 months ago I finished DM'ing my groups last campaign (homebrew hag hunt) and after taking a mental break I have been wondering what we'll do next. CoS has always been on my radar due to its popularity and with the new Ravenloft book I've decided to for sure commit to Strahd.

I'm fortunately in a position where I have a bit of spare change and am looking for some add-ons to throw into the campaign. I saw the $400 legendary edition but it's sold out :(

I'm open to new classes/subclasses (grim hollow maybe?) or new quests that can be stuffed into Borovia. Ideally it's available on DnD Beyond if it has to do with character creation, but if it's new quests/areas/ideas then they can be available anywhere, digital or physical.

So basically, did anyone run CoS with additional material that they thought was a noticeable upgrade?
