Doctors and nurses; do you see patients coming round from anaesthesia at their most honest?
I just had surgery under general, and remember how hard thinking was when I was just coming around, but still felt like I was 'me' in that time.
Do you feel that your patients in that state are showing their truest self or are people still keeping their social masking up?
Also, odd thought I had before the op, what happens if someone is violent in those circumstances? I fully support zero tolerance for such things, but wonder how a case would play out in court if the usual process of getting the police involved was still the norm.
