[wts] NEW discontinued - Coleman PEAK1 20°F Mummy Down Sleeping Bag - Regular ($175) - CNJ

I bought this in November but ended up going with a different lighter sleeping bag. It has never been used and is in new condition.

Has some of the most durable fabrics I’ve seen on a sleeping bag (40d inner and 20d ripstop outer) and weighs 2.8 lbs with 650fp down. 80”L x 31”W, good for 6”5 tall individuals.

Comfort rating is 28° and lower limit 17°.

Price negotiable if you’re in central New Jersey and want to meet and save on shipping. I have a Spark pro 15° for sale too

EDIT: now $140 and video added in the comments

[wts] Sea To Summit Spark Pro 15°F 950+fp ($550)

The spark pro 15°F (comfort rating 27°) weighs 27.7 oz according to sea to summit with a 16.9 oz fill weight. It is 77.2 inches long with a maximum user height of 6”1. With the storage bag (which still has the cardboard tags on it) it weighed 1.9 lbs on my scale. Comes with the compression bag too. Uses 10d fabric.

I bought this new in November, and used it on two trips for a total of 4 nights and babied it. Used a liner and stored it uncompressed. You can unzip and use it as a quilt or poke out your arms or legs. I got a lighter designated top quilt for my hammock so don’t need it anymore.

Price negotiable if you are in Central New Jersey and can meet up locally

I haven’t sold on here (have only been buying gear til now) but have a 4.9 seller rating on FB marketplace. Cheers

[wts] Sea to Summit Spark pro 15°F 950+ fp - regular ($550), Nemo Tensor All Season - regular mummy ($190)

The Nemo Tensor weighs 1 lb according to Nemo with and measures 72x20. I think the repair kit might be missing the adhesive or maybe it didn’t come with any but there’s two patches. Comes with the Vortex pump sack which I never used coz I have a small battery one (sacrilege). It has a 5.4R value, 3.5 inch thickness, 20d on top and 40d on bottom.

I bought these new in November, and used them only twice, once in December and once in May for a total of 4 nights and babied them. Used a liner with the sleeping bag and stored it uncompressed. The sleeping bag is kinda cool coz you can use it as a quilt or poke out your arms or legs and walk around but I got a lighter designated top quilt so don’t need it anymore.

I move about too much for a pad so am switching to hammock camping. More eager to get rid of the sleeping bag though because I really don’t need it and it’s always good to have a back up pad.

Price negotiable if you buy both or are in Central New Jersey and can meet up locally

I haven’t sold on here (have only been buying gear til now) but have a 4.9 seller rating on FB marketplace. Cheers

Anyone used Jacks R Better Hudson River Ultralight 20°F quilt?

Curious if anyone else has any experience as it’s very light for a 20°F quilt (a little light on fill too) and it is multifunctional. Can’t find much about it online but saw 2 or 3 excellent testimonials in the Reddit comments section. Use case will be backpacking in upstate NY and going to campgrounds too

Just ordered as a winter top quilt (to pair with a 20°F Underquilt) and summer/fall/spring hammock Underquilt. I paid $413 for it.

* 9.36 oz fill weight
* 16.2 oz weight (57.8% down/weight)
* 1000 fp
* 2.5 inch loft, 33% overstuff, horizontal box baffles
* 10D fabric
* 78’ x 48’ inch (I’m 5’9, 135 lbs and hopefully will be able to use it if I do ground camping too)
* Drawcord, cord locks, kam snaps foot box

https://jacksrbetter.com/products/hudson-river-ultralight-20-degree-multifunction-three-season-backpacking-quilt?_pos=1&_sid=cf218993e&_ss=r

Would love to hear any experiences at all! I think I will be just fine with it as I won’t be going down to below freezing very often.

I plan on selling my Spark Pro 15°F (comfort 27°F) 950+ sleeping bag that weighs 27.7 oz with 16.9 oz fill weight as I don’t need them both.

Anyone used this quilted hammock for colder weather camping?

EDIT: THANK YOU everyone!

I’m gonna return it and get a Hammock Incubator instead. Too short, heavy, and won’t be warm. Might make do with my Exped R: 2.8 CCD pad for now or Nemo R: 5.4 until I save up.

Original post:
Hi everyone,

Picked this up for $60 and am curious what temperature I could use it down to or if anyone has experience with this product.

The few reviews said it was comfortable for hanging out in down to the mid 40s. Kinda heavy at 2.75 lbs. I do have a good 15 degree Sea to Summit sleeping bag that unzips into a quilt and weighs about 2 lbs/862g and a Onewind tarp with doors. Oh and a warm dog.

I have a OneWind hammock 11 feet but half the weight coming and was wondering if I should just bite the bullet and pick up a Hammock Gear Incubator 30F for $205 and 1.3 lbs or will I be able to comfortably use this into the mid 30s paired with my quilt, base layers/hoody, and lightweight sleeping bag liner.

I also have an exped 3r flex mat with a 2.8R value, do you think laying on that in the lighter non insulated hammock would be warmer than just this one?

I’m kinda a klutz so the simplicity of this appealed to me, as well as not needing to buy more stuff. Thank you :)

Oh and use case is gonna be spring, fall, and early/late winter backpacking in the northeast US. And I’m 5’9 and slim
