How do you stay in the wish fulfilled when your current situation is the complete opposite?

Hey guys, I’m pretty new to the Law of Assumption and I’m a little confused about how to actually apply it in a situation like mine.

I recently finished high school and I’m taking a gap year. I really want to study abroad and get into a good university, but right now my circumstances are basically the complete opposite 😭 My family wants me to go to a local college instead and they don’t really believe I can make studying abroad happen.

I’ve been reading about assuming the end and living in the wish fulfilled, but I’m honestly not sure what that would look like in real life when you’re constantly seeing the opposite in front of you.

Like, if you were in my situation, what would you actually do?

Would you visualize yourself already being at the university? Use affirmations? Do SATS? Or just focus on changing your assumptions and not worry about how everything is going to happen?

I’d also really love to hear from people who have actually been through something similar, where their circumstances looked completely opposite to what they wanted but things eventually changed.

I’m just trying to understand how you guys actually practice this because I feel like I understand the theory but struggle with the practical side 😭
