Moving to Mumbai with family, looking for a 1/2 BHK near Chembur (BKC office). Would love some advice
Hi everyone,
We're relocating to Mumbai soon and honestly don't know the city well, so I'd really appreciate guidance from people who live here.
About us: my wife, our 5-year-old daughter and me. I'll be working in BKC, and my wife works from home.
What we're looking for:
- 1 BHK or 2 BHK
- Budget: up to ₹60k a month, all in
- Car parking (a proper dedicated spot)
- Modular kitchen with cabinets already fitted
- Wall-to-wall wardrobes in the bedroom
- An easy daily commute to BKC
- No waterlogging in the monsoon, on the building's approach road or nearby
From what I've read, Diamond Garden, Central Avenue Road and the area around Ratna Store in Chembur are some of the best places to live. Is that right? Are these areas realistic for our budget, and how are they for a family with a young child?
I've also seen some new, fancy-looking towers coming up in Deonar. Are they any good to live in? I'd love to hear from anyone staying there, especially about the commute, water supply, maintenance and what the area is like day to day.
If you know of specific societies we should look at (or avoid), or any good, honest brokers in the area, please share.
Thanks a lot in advance. Any help is appreciated!
