I’m honestly feeling heartbroken and just needed a place to vent.

Last year, around my birthday, I lost my Dadaji, the one person who truly understood me. This year, for the first time in my life, I asked my parents for a birthday gift: a Dyson Corrale.

I know it’s expensive and not something everyone would spend money on, but after working really hard, topping my exams, losing two of my close friends and dadaji and making my parents proud, it felt like something I’d earned.

Unfortunately, during an argument, my cousin threw it out of our 30th-floor window. It was completely destroyed. My parents have banned him from coming home, but that doesn’t bring the gift back.

I know it’s just a hair straightener, but it wasn’t really about the product. It was the first thing I had ever asked for, and I never even got the chance to use it.

After last year’s birthday, this one meant a lot to me, and now that’s gone too.
Does anyone in Mumbai know where I could get a genuine Dyson Corrale at a really good discount, wholesale price, or from a trusted reseller? Any leads would mean a lot.

Hey guys, I'm 27 now, and grew up in Chembur in Subhash Nagar.

Some nostalgic moments I certainly remember are playing in the huge ground where the current RNA continental is, the garden at the end of 16th road, spending time just walking around Church, 14th Road, 11th Road etc. sandwich Uncle on 14th Road being one of the OGs, Pizza Caprina being so new when I was in school.

Walking to school in crazy rains like this from 6th std onwards, eating Vada Pav at Sanju's, Shanti Store's, Kiran Chemist, there was a building with those old school phone booths too.

Anyone else in this community also grow up in Chembur in the 2000"s, feel free to share yours!

I don't live full time in Chembur anymore as moved from Mumbai for education and then job, but whenever I come back, I see those faces, and I see the massive changes. Still hits different
