Hey I was thinking about getting a big terrarium and desert lizards, to get a little piece of nature in my home. But what sort of clean up crew would be good for low humidity and high heat environments?
I’m thinking about getting a beard dragon, but before I’m actually getting anything I’m of course reading up on what it needs and requires, but there’s two things that confuse me when reading about keeping bearded dragons.
1 the substrate, some places say to have a sand or dirt in the bottom of the enclosure, while others place say never to use sand and instead use carpet or paper towels?
2 the hydration situation seems to be conflicting, some say that there should be a water bowl in the terrarium, which in my head makes sense that there should be water available. But then some other places say its dangerous to keep water bowls in the dragons terrarium.
Its a little confusing to figure stuff out when there are conflicting information about how to keep the dragon
