Howdy! So I am thinking about applying to Sugar Bowl. I am curious what people's thoughts are on working here. Also, I am moving from out of state and would need employee housing. Does anyone know if it's good and how much it typically is?

Hey world, so I just put in an offer for a Catalina 36 that got accepted and I have a couple questions:
I have selected a marine surveyor, called the boat yard and will be calling a rigger to come take a look. Gonna schedule it in a week or so. I told the broker I found my own surveyor and this dude seems upset. Why? Did I do something wrong? I am a touch on the spectrum so dealing with people has always been a challenge for me. Why is this dude mad?
Second question: what do I need to look out for when this purchase contract comes in? Is it common to do a wire transfer?
Third, any other tips etc for getting through this process would be immensely appreciated.
