Curious second language speaker

I was always curious in this part, why is Shane asking if he used google translate or say it doesn't make sense? I do get there is a double entre with the word "come" but it would still make sense, no? I mean if it were to people not with that kind of relationship it could be understood that is to go somewhere? Is it just that is not propper grammar? Or am I just butchering the language myself? Would I also be insinuating something else right away if I said to my friend want to come? 🤣

Trying to find a fic

I found a link on Threads but I couldn't finish the fic and now it is not on my history and I can't remember the title or author, please I need help finding it, I remember they had a flight cancelled due to snowstorm, shane offers to take Ilya, two of ilya's teammates, JJ and Hayden to his cottage, he is thinking no one will find out about their relationship bc anythin incriminating is ilya's clothes so he just has to keep everyone out of his room, to keep appearances Ilya is supposed to sleep on the sofa but sneaks up to their bedroom once the others are asleep, that is all I remember as I was only on the second of 8 chapters, any ideas? One detail I remember Ilya sends emails to Shane instead of texts so they cannot be discovered
