This is purely for my own curiosity.

Apart from the obvious of Heated Rivalry/Game Changers, what other fandoms do you read or write for or ships you enjoy?

I've been reading fanfic for years now, and I'll admit (even though I'll probably get hate for it) that I use to always read harry potter fanfic (fuck jkr obviously) witha sprinkling of crossovers into twilight, avengers (even tho i never watch the movies) and other fandoms.

I'm most definitely a multishipper in that fandom and read tons of different pairings and multis, but i mostly read drarry or harrymort (or tomarry or tomarrymort).

i've read this fic where SPN hired a ew russian journalist and how in one of ilya's post game press was asked a question in russian and ow well he answered rather tan his nonchalant persona when he speaks eng and so i liked this plot and wold like more suggestions.

Sea Lion Woman by originalblue is such a good fic and has so few hits. I need more people to check this fic out!

I was watching an Instagram video of fanfic recommendations yesterday, but unfortunately I navigated away and then was not able to find the video again because it was not someone I follow. All I remember of the recommendation was that Shane was a pop star - formerly in a boy band and now on his own, like Harry Styles. I don't know who or what Ilya is in this AU. Does this sound familiar?

It was a group chat with many players from different teams, and they were dreading facing Shane and complaining about how unfair it is that the husbands are on the same team.

At one point they call Shane a sleep paralysis demon(?) and a Russian goalie goes, “I hate playing Hollander. Where is puck. Oh. In the net.”

Any fics like this are also welcome, please recommend me the NHL dreading Hollanov and the power of love. 😆

Lately I’ve read a lot of break fics where Shane is in a serious long term relationship. This hasn’t been a choice, but a happy coincidence because these fics have been great!

However I am dying to see what the reverse would look like. The only thing that comes close is a fic I won’t spoil by naming where Ilya has a male fuck buddy. But I wanna see him in an actual relationship with a guy and how Shane handles it emotionally.

looking for fic reccs where ilya finds out she had a daughter/son from a lover before and shane helps him with child care?

Or WAG's/teammates ask: "at least your last name, please?" Jane(or Lily): "Hollander (or Rozanov)" their response "so Rozanov (or Hollander) is dating Shane Hollander's (or Ilya Rozanov's) sister?!"

Read a fic (can't remember which one) where it was mentioned that Shane doesn't learn the name of his rookies until they do something notable (in hockey). I want fics with a Shane who genuinely Could Not Give Less Of A Shit about the lives of most of the people around him unless it has to do with hockey (Hope You're Not Waiting For Me to Wait For You is #MyShane)

so as the title mentions… i am looking for lowkey just smut. it could be anything from a fic about smut or a series with a really good sex scene. i’ve been reading so much sad hollanov recently and i am in need of smut

I'm currently trying to write my first Heated Rivalry fanfic, and I wanted to do a bit of research into what he would be able to eat on his diet, but I've tried searching through the text and couldn't find anything specific. I'm honestly not sure if that's a me not looking hard enough thing (I've only gotten the chance to read Heated Rivalry and The Long Game so far), or if really never was specifically mentioned. In a lot of the fanfics I read, people say that he's on a macrobiotic diet, so I might just end up going with that, but I wanted to make sure to ask people who probably know better than I do to make sure that I can at least try to stay somewhat faithful to the source material. Thank you!

An Alternate Universe where Shane gets outed before his drafting, and gets placed in the Ottawa Centaurs, along with Ilya.

Shane is still a bit panicky , but he is also confident and goes after what he gets.

And he wants to get to the Stanley Cup- desperately!
