Okay so I am not particularly an mpreg girl for HR (not yucking any yum if you are!) mainly because it is always Shane getting pregnant and I think he would literally rather die than end or pause his career because of a pregnancy. Does anyone have any good ones where he gets pregnant and then has an abortion? Searching on ao3 was not particularly helpful lol. TIA!
pretty much what it says on the tin! i feel like there have been a good amount of fics coming out recently in which Shane is sort of crashing out about the way everything went down with leaving Montreal, but I’m not gonna lie - i’ve been struggling to find ones that actually feel like canonical Shane to me, and don’t make cartoon villains out of all of his old teammates and coaches (and infantilize Shane along the way). i’d love to find some fics that explore Shane’s experience getting outed/leaving the Metros that are maybe a bit more nuanced!
also, this is not at all me hating on the fics that have gone viral on this topic, i’m just a real stickler for canon characterization and want to see if anyone has good ones they’ve found! thank you in advance :)
And they FUCKING LOVED IT. Now my mom is a big theater fan, but my dad really isn’t (immigrant from the former USSR lol). the whole time they were bopping, clapping, dancing, and smiling so big. It was my third time seeing it and I think it was the best time yet because of how much fun they were having.
Moral of the story: Get your ass to the Broadhurst and see Cats! Amazing for all ages and sensibilities :)
