Absolutely LOVING this AU that has freak4freak Ilya and Shane. By the godlike angel_deux (who wrote THE zombie fic "well I guess we're gonna find out" amongst other amazing fics)

Edit: alexei and Ilya so get along here, sort of, which is nice because Ilya deserves good things.

Summary:

Ilya is a Bratva hitman, and Shane is his crime scene cleaner. When Shane finally pays off his debts and signals his intentions to leave, Ilya has only the summer to convince him to stay.

Hoooooooly shiiiiiiiit

This was recommended in a comment under a diff post yesterday. Warranted its own post I just finished reading it (yes i stayed up all night shut up)

Amazing. Gorgeous. 10/10 no notes. Haunted hotel. Funny shenanigans from 6 hockey players. Beautiful love story. Heart wrenching. Actual chills/scary moments. More heartbreak. More scary actual super scary moments. Beautiful resolution feels like I can finally breathe.

Whooooooooweeeeeeeeeeeee holyshiiiiiiiiiiit.

Summary:

For charity, and against their better judgment, Montreal and Boston spend

one night in a haunted hotel — hunting ghosts on a livestream, in front of

the entire internet.

Shane Hollander does not believe in ghosts. Ilya Rozanov believes in all of

them, loudly, on camera. Neither of them believes in saying out loud what

they've been to each other for years.

The Hôtel du Lac Saint-Véran has opinions about that. So does whatever's in

the basement.

Two knocks for yes.

This was just shared in a comment to a diff post recently but ummmmm I am obsessed with this and the way this author writes.

Truly freak4freak but also delicious angst and Ilya is still the top but he is definitely more vulnerable emotionally Shane is dragging him around it is delicious

Summary:

“When you’re with her,” Ilya continues, voice rough and breathless, “and she does fuck all for you no matter how hard you close your eyes, do you try to angle your hand so she brushes up on the scar? Do you do everything you can to remember it exists? Am I there with you, Hollander? Always?”

Shane wants to touch him—so he does the only thing he’s allowed to do.

He throws the first punch.

Or: After Shane and Ilya's first on-ice fight sends the media into a frenzy, the league forces them to date to control the narrative.

In his efforts to become the best captain possible, Shane accidentally cultivates among his teammates a debilitating praise kink.

(Or, the unforeseen consequences of prolonged and repeated exposure to Shane Hollander's beautiful big brown bottom eyes, and its documented effects on a worrisomely increasing number of professional hockey players.)

This fic is just hilarious. Similar to the stories like in that series "everyone wants Shane", Shane has no idea the power he has over everyone else in the world by being an agreeable teasing slut.

I am on chapter 2.

link I AM SORRY EVERYONE I AM DRUNK I THOUGHT I LINKED IT ALREdy

Wow um OK. This fic is glorious. Ilya is a professional Dom at a facility. Dom/sub kind of operate similarly to alpha/omega biological symptoms when needs aren't meant (sub drop etc but it's from lack of proper Dom exposure???)

Shane is a super closeted and repressed sub and like honestly the way the author writes how Ilya has to GLACIALLY figure out and provide Dom services to Shane is both extremely hot and extremely hilarious.

Summary:

“Sounds boring,” Ilya comments, unable to stop himself. “Okay, so what is that emergency, Sveta? You said guy dropped two days ago.”

“They’ve already tried three different professional doms and nobody managed to take him out of it, so–”

“Who's they?” Ilya interrupts her.

“The hockey team. Montreal Voyagers. They are flying him in to us now.”

"Why plane? Drive to Ottawa takes two hours only.”

“Yes, but apparently he’s… not cooperating.”

The Behavioral Education & Authority Relationships Services. B.E.A.R.S. for short.

(Shane is strong, stubborn, difficult and he bites. Ilya is instantly whipped).

Portion that made me laugh out loud and very hot:

Hollander’s jaw tenses up. He tilts his head back to look up and glare.

He’s the most beautiful thing Ilya has ever seen.

“Colour.”

“Go fuck yourself.”

“Hey!” The word cuts through the air, sharp and loud, and sobering. “I ask for colour, you give it. You can’t do that? I cancel your session. Am I clear?” he demands. “That is safety. We do not fuck around with safety. Now give me fucking colour.”

“Green, but I hate you. Is there a colour for that?” Shane raises his eyebrows. “Lime? Olive?"

Lord. Have. Mercy. Ilya had a bad boy era when he was younger, but he didn’t do anything bad enough to deserve THIS.

Edit: this is HEA

I just finished this fic. I'm sure it's been posted and recommended here many times.

But I JUST FINISHED IT AND IT WAS SO GOOD AND I have a lot of feelings now.

Like perfect amount of sex and angst and pining and hot and characterization and Shane being a little menace and Ilya being a sad boy but still a menace and a sprinkle of marleau being the chillest (which is my favourite side plot thing).

Man this one is really fcking good (can we swear in this sub??)

Summary:

Ilya widens his eyes, moves his hands in an impatient “get on with it” motion. He has the urge to say it for him, end both their misery. Shane blinks rapidly a few times, takes another deep breath. “I want to stop,” he says simply.

Ilya lets out one humorless laugh, “Stop what?”

Shane ignores him. “At the All Star Game, I told you I liked you. And you said about Russia and your family. And I looked some things up. I get it. I get it better now. I know we can’t but I can’t stop wanting to be…more. Unless we stop.”

OR

Shane just wants to be friends and Ilya is, like, fine with that or whatever

This series has standalone fics set in crime TV show scenarios.

Excellent writing. No notes. Beautiful.

I've read the first fic (Shane gets kidnapped by stalker fan) and the third fic (NHL awards at Vegas gets in a hostage situation)

THESE ARE EXCELLENT

Run don't walk to read this fic.

Omega verse fics are usually hit or miss for me but this one is... I can't even explain it. Mentions of extreme abuse and rich well thought out world building around medical intervention and this is going to be one of the greats I know it.

Doesn't mean that I was never afraid by yhronez

Blurb/summary below:

Rose volunteers for a nonprofit that rescues sex-trafficked omegas, and Shane thinks it's a great cause. He even attends their fundraising galas.

Then, one night, Rose calls to ask for a favor: She wants Shane to let a recently-rescued male omega live with him. In his apartment.

His name is Ilya, Rose explains, and the thing is, despite omega hormone levels, he acts and smells just like an alpha. He can't keep staying in an omega group home because he's scaring the other omegas and endangering the staff.

But he could live with Shane, Rose insists. "You're a big strong alpha hockey player, so he can't intimidate you physically. But also he needs to feel safe, which he can with you, because you're not like other alphas." She pauses. "You know?"

By which she means Shane has never had a full rut, his scent glands barely work, he can't form a knot, and he has no interest in sticking his dick in anyone. Which, whatever. It's fine.

But if being a failure as an alpha means he can help this omega, Ilya, who's apparently as much of a biological anomaly as Shane is…

Shane says yes.

And maybe it's a stupid decision. But he knows that it's also the right one.

They're all really good and deserve more love/comments.

Specifically, anyone know that YouTube vid of a a couple girls streaming and one of them goes "doom"? Specifically raora uses the strongest spell in mage arena vid title (Ilya as the girl who's just screaming "doom?!" incredulously)

Shane as a frieren type caster who casts doom (not at Ilya though)

Anyway I am sort of recent to reading heated rivalry fics (been reading fanfic since 2006 though) and I just...

I think about you every time I play inzoi. Which, since may 27 of this year, is everyday.

I usually skip or just ignore the tutorial part of games and then figure it out myself or go back and look it up, so I obviously was playing and controlling inzoi the way I would Sims 3 (I really really disliked Sims 4 despite buying 80% of the expansions/dlc)

You posted a random comment mentioning how you actually found it tedious to move by point and click, and I responded with something stupid like "what do you mean you're tired of point and click" and you were very kind to explain that I could wasd move in inzoi.

Life has never been the same since.

I think about you every day. Thank you.

Edit: I looked back in my post history and found them. It was u/cristianod

You changed my life bro

Based on my gameplay in inzoi so far, this is genuinely the game I thought Sims 4 (and a prospective Sims 5) would be.

Obviously there are certain setbacks systems wise compared to sims3 (such as size of maps, number of residential lots etc) but like... The open map system vs teleport option, the choice between rabbit hole and interactive jobs (in base game, please remember professions in Sims 3 came with an expansion pack) and just the absolute gorgeous beauty of the game and lots...

I dno every day that I play this game I'm constantly in awe at what they've accomplished. I am so grateful to the community that have been there since day 1 launch that have provided consistent and valuable feedback to the dev team, I'm so grateful to the dev team for remaining open instead of getting frustrated and giving up on what I am assuming must be an overwhelming amount of feedback, it's just amazing how much the game has to offer and the updates we've been getting recently.

I'm just really really grateful for how amazing this game and the community is. Genuinely, thank you everyone, as a casual lazy consumer that feels a bit guilty reaping all the benefits of your labour.

I'm just, so happy and so amazed and in awe every day I play this game. I'm not even a creative or innovative builder/player. I just play the same old daily life of a single zoi (mainly) but even with that there's just so many details and things to do like. The other day I was appreciating the condensation /reflection on the windows when it was raining in dowon. It was beautiful.

THANK YOU EVERYONE. SINCERELY THANK YOU SO MUCH.

I have 132 hours on this game and have only just visited Ullim Temple.

Omg I love this public spot. It's so beautiful and they actualky have both coffins and urns and the set up made me so nostalgic (when I've gone to funeral for my grandparents in Taiwan the set up is similar)

Just love how gorgeous this game is I'm constantly impressed still

Anyone know what might be the issue? It used to show up fine so I could do homework after uni.

The I went to stay in bliss bay for a bit, and I enrolled then dropped out of uni there.

I came back to dowon and resumed my original uni degree, and now the homework option no longer shows up on my computer.

Can I just sell these or can I acrially submit them somewhere to add towards performance?

Usually holding the alt key allows free placement, but with zoi created large paintings it doesn't allow me to do that above like 10cm from the floor. Is there any cheat or way to move the painting higher up on the wall or is it just like that for now?

I traveled to bliss bay cus I downloaded a really cute apartment off canvas (my game is in dowon)

I tried the Rollercoaster and omg lol. So so cute.

Does anyone know if that's possible or in the works? Would be cool to use space bae to jump or climb over fences/gates. Can be linked to fitness level and good for crime haha.

I got it Wednesday night, didn't sleep just kept playing, played Thurs and Fri night and I am still playing now.

It is so fun there is so much STUFF so many options on how to play.

Apart from the options you have in settings menu, once you're in game you can go to manage city and further adjust social settings to make the game messier/more drama.

Edit: just want to add, I'll still play paralives here and there. It's cute and I love how customizable and intuitive the build mode is.

It's been 3 days (2.5 I got it Wednesday night) and I've logged 24 hours already. It's so gorgeous to look at there's so much to do the phone and calendar system is so nice the manage city system oh my god.

I'm going insane I can't contain my excitement.
