I am trying to fly from Europe back to Malaysia with less than 6 months remaining on my passport. There are not many direct flights available. I am aware the UAE requirements of having at least 6 months left on the passport, but if I am not mistaken, going back to one's home country with less than 6 months on the passport is allowed since I am not entering the UAE (1.5 hr layover only). Does anyone here have recent experience?
